Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Happy Birthday Splinterlands !!! (ENG/ITA)

Hello everyone, friends of Splinterlands!!!

It was May 2018, 6 years ago, when the game started, then called Steemmonsters, but now known as Splinterlands, one of the most famous and long-lasting Play2Earn gaming platforms in the Blockchain world, compared to many other initiatives that started off strong but soon failed and closed down.

Those who are reading this know well that I have been involved with the platform since day one, and I was immediately convinced by both the graphics and the gameplay, but above all by the solidity of the project, so much so that I decided I wanted to collect all the cards from the first edition, the Alpha edition.

At first, the gameplay was inspired by card games like Magic: the Gathering, Pokemon, Duel Masters, and it was very simple, there weren't even rulesets before battles, but we were still getting used to the mechanics and the cards.

In the beginning, the cards and abilities were very few, and the Neutral element didn't even exist yet, which was added with the Beta edition and represented a revolutionary novelty within the gameplay because cards of this element can almost always be used (except with the Taking Sides ruleset).

From the early neutral monsters of the Beta edition, we remember some iconic monsters, which are still used today such as Goblin Mech, Lord Arianthus, and Spirit Miner.

Other monsters like Hydra were my favorites to deploy in tank position, also thanks to its Heal ability, but now I've somewhat forgotten it, caught up with new cards like Uriel the Purifier and Grum Flameblade.

However, a new ruleset called Shades of Grey has recently been introduced, which requires using only neutral monsters on the battlefield, greatly increasing the value of this type of card.

Indeed, not only for the new Rebellion card edition, but also for past editions, the interest of players/investors in this type of card is rising.

So, it's better not to fall behind, studying the new cards, but also those from the old editions, if we want to remain competitive on the battlefield.

Era maggio 2018 , 6 anni fa, quando partiva il gioco che allora si chiamava Steemmonsters, ma che adesso conosciamo come Splinterlands, una delle piattaforme di gaming Play2Earn più famose e longeve del mondo Blockchain, rispetto a tantissime altre iniziative che erano partite con il botto, ma dopo poco tempo fallivano e chiudevano i battenti.

Chi mi legge conosce bene che io ho partecipato alla piattaforma dal primo giorno, e fui subito convinto da subito, sia dalla grafica, che dal gameplay, ma soprattutto dalla solidità del progetto, tanto che decisi che volevo fare in modo da collezionare tutte le carte della prima edizione, quella Alpha.

All'inizio il gameplay si è ispirato a giochi di carte come Magic: the Gathering , Pokemon, Duel Masters, ed era molto semplice, non c'erano nemmeno i ruleset prima delle battaglie, ma ancora ci stavamo abituando ai meccanismi e alle carte.

All'inizio le carte e le abilità erano molto poche, e non esisteva ancora l'elemento Neutral, che è stato aggiunto con l'edizione Beta,ed ha rappresentato una novità rivoluzionaria all'interno del gameplay, perchè le carte di questo elemento possono essere quasi sempre usate ( a parte con il ruleset Taking Sides) .

Dei primi mostri neutrali dell'edizione Beta, ricordiamo alcuni mostri iconici, che alcune volte vengono usati ancora oggi come Goblin Mech, Lord Arianthus e Spirit Miner.

Altri mostri come Hydra, erano i miei preferiti da schierare in posizione tank, anche grazie alla sua abilità Heal, ma adesso l'ho un po' dimenticata, preso da nuove carte come Uriel the Purifier e Grum Flameblade.

Però è da poco stata introdotto un nuovo ruleset di nome Shades of Grey, che impone di usare solamente mostri neutrali sul campo di battaglia, aumentando enormemente il valore di questa tipologia di carte.

Infatii, non solo per la nuova edizione di carte Rebellion, ma anche per le edizioni passate, sta salendo l'interesse dei giocatori/investitori per questo tipo di carte.

Quindi, meglio non rimanere indietro, studiando le nuove carte, ma anche quelle delle vecchie edizione, se vogliamo rimanere competitivi sul campo di battaglia.
