I want to steadily grow both HIVE.blog and Splinterlands accounts / HIVE.blogとSplinterlandsの「コツコツ」感

Yesterday I opened the Chaos Pack I received from the POSH Token x Splintertalk giveaway. I got two Legendary cards from the same pack, this is a first for me!

The last Seasonal Rewards were disappointing, and I don't think the daily rewards are that good either. But I have been playing this game for a long time and my CP (Collection Power) has reached about 500,000. Some cards have been bought, but I think more of the cards I have that are currently overpriced are reward cards. In the short run the rewards are not good, but in the long run I have found that I've gotten a lot of good cards = assets. With the current game system of Splinterlans, owning more in-game assets allows you to compete in higher leagues and thus expect bigger rewards.

I think this is the same with HIVE.blog. Neither Splinterlands nor HIVE.blog can make a lot of money in a short period of time (some people might be able to do that, but I don't seem to be able to). But as you continue to write and play for a long time, you will accumulate a certain amount of assets, such as cards for Splinterlands and HIVE POWER for HIVE.blog, like a snowball. You can use these assets to make new money.

My rewards on HIVE.blog are usually not that big (although they have been increasing lately thanks to Liketu), but sometimes I get big upvotes, as in the recent Pinmapple post. I also won a contest at the HIVE POWER UP DAY in December and received a 500HP delegation as a prize. Moreover, this delegation was originally scheduled for 4 weeks, but thanks to the kindness of the delegatee, I am able to continue to borrow it. This is how happy times sometimes happen at HIVE.blog, just like the legenary cards in Splinterlands.


Last year saw the launch of many NFT games that required a high initial investment. Many of them were short-lived instead of having the potential to make big money, and the timing of entry and exit was of utmost importance. I played STEPN myself for a time. I was able to profit somewhat from it, but that was because I happened to start at the right time. Splinterlands and HIVE.blog, on the other hand, are less exciting (in terms of money) on a day-to-day basis, but there's a steady, gradual buildup that I like. Or rather, I think they fit my personality.

Thanks to the continuous growth of the platform, I am able to build up assets there. I think that the word "ecosystem" is exactly right for HIVE, and that it is growing to the point where no one knows the full picture. I feel that the complexity of the system makes it difficult to collapse.


Of course, that's something no one knows.

昨日、POSHトークン×Splinterlandsのギブアウェイでもらったカオスパックを開けてみました。普段引きの弱い私には珍しく、同じパックからレジェンダリーカードが2枚も出ました！

前回のシーズンリワードは散々だったし、日々のデイリーリワードもそれほど当たりが多い気もしません。でも気づけばずいぶん長いことこのゲームを続けていて、CP（Collection Power）は約50万になりました。カードは買ったものもありますが、手持ちのカードのうち今高値がついているものはリワードカードの方が多い気がします。短期で見ると報酬は全然だけど、長いスパンで見ると意外と良いカード＝資産を獲得できているんですよね。今のSplinterlansの仕様では、多くのゲーム内資産を保有していることでより上のリーグで戦うことができ、その分より大きな報酬が期待できます。

この感じ、HIVE.blogも一緒だなあと思うのです。SplinterlandsもHIVE.blogも、どちらも短期でドカーンと稼げるものではありません（中には稼げる人もいるかもしれないけど、私には無理みたいです・・・）。でも長く続けているうちに、Splinterlandsならカード、HIVE.blogならHIVE POWERという資産が、雪だるまのようにある程度まとまった額になってきます。その資産を使って新たなお金を稼ぐイメージです。

HIVE.blogでの私の報酬は、普段はそれほど大きいわけではないものの（最近はLiketuのお蔭で増えていますが）、先日のPinmapple記事のように時々大きなupvoteをもらえることもあります。また12月のHIVE POWER UP DAYではコンテストに入選し、賞品として500HPの delegationを受け取ることができました。しかもこのdelegation、当初4週間の予定だったのが、delegateeのご厚意でなんと引き続き借りることができています。こんなふうにして、時々嬉しい時間が起こるのがHIVE.blogです。Splinterlandsのレジェンダリーカードのように。


去年は、高額の初期投資が必要となるNFTゲームがたくさん登場しました。大きなお金を稼げる可能性がある代わりに短命なものが多く、参入と撤退のタイミングが何より重要でした。私自身一時STEPNをやっていましたが、たまたま始めた時期が良かったから損をしなかっただけ、そんな気がしています。一方、SplinterlandsやHIVE.blogは、（金額的には）日々の興奮は少ないけれど、コツコツ、じわじわと積み上げていく感じがあって、私はそれが好きです。というか、自分の性格に合っていると思います。

コツコツ、じわじわができるのも、プラットフォームが長く続いてくれているからなんですけどね‥‥。なんというかHIVEにはまさに「生態系」という言葉がピッタリで、誰も全貌が分からないところまで成長してきているような気がします。複雑に入り組んでいる分、崩壊はしにくいんじゃないかと。


もちろん、誰にも分からないことですが。
