Splinterlands weekly challenge : Divine Sorceress

(Edited)

This week's Splinterlands battle challenge theme is Divine Sorceress.

The Divine Sorceress is an epic reward card that was printed and distributed via daily quest and season rewards. It has finished it's printing and the only way to obtain one now is to buy them on the market.
Today I had the Life splinter for my daily quest and came across a battle I thought I would be able to use the divine sorceress in.
The battle can be found here

Rules were Silenced Summoners and Lost Legendaries

With a 99 mana cap

Armored Up: Means all monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
Broken Arrow: Means Ranged Attack monsters may not be used in battles.

Summoner Selection:

As my quest was for the Life splinter, I could have also chosen Tyrus or Mother Khala. Tyrus gives +1 to armor and Mother Khala gives +1 to health. For this particular battle I could have choosen either summoner, Tyrus is my favorite summoner because of the +1 to armor but I probably should have picked Mother Khala for the +1 health.

Monster Selection

1rst Position: I choose the Goblin Mech for this position because of the large amount of health and armor it has and the large mana cap allowed me to use whatever monsters I wanted.

2nd position: I put Divine Healer in this position because she has the 2nd highest health. I chose the Divine Healer for it's tank healing cababilities and magic attack.

3rd position:
I choose the Divine Sorceress for this position because she was the 2nd to last monster I choose and I had 3 mana left and was like let's give her a try here. I like that she has divine shield which negates the first damage dealt to her. I am also a big fan of the 2 magic attack she has. She has low health that is why I sandwhiched her into the middle of my line-up.

4th Position:
I choose the Armorsmith for position 4 because he heals the Chain Golems armor and is a little more expendable in this rule set because of the Armored up rule. So he is acting like a rear tank.

5th Position:
I choose the chicken for this position because I had 2 leftover spots and the chick is a 0 mana monster. I was thinking I would use the chicken as a rear tank.

Conclusion:
My Chain Golem is what won this match for me. All of my other monsters were killed either by the reflect ability of my opponents prismatic energy or by the blast ability from my opponents ruler of the sea. My divine sorceress was able to get 3 attacks in because of divine shield, but because my opponent was using bortus they were weaker attacks. I really think that the divine sorceress is better suited for a monsters loose abilities rule.

A $50+ dollar card for chain golem of course should mean a lot in a match. Glad you got out with the win.

I was lucky enough to get a one with my untamed kickstarter... I really like this card a lot and it has replaced lord A as my goto tank in most situations.
