Owning Your Power, One Sunlit Day

Just like the ability and freedom and the freedom we all have to breathe and walk around, that is the same independence we get from solar power. Just this new year alone, it has been three days already, and I can count the number of hours that we have been given light, and the light is not totally full. But with the help of solar energy, Nigerian houses can be able to control their light back without depending on the electricity from the government.

Once there is solar energy in a house, such a household is free from wobbly lights and fuel buying. Because with solar, there is limitless power, and we can charge our phones anytime, watch the TV as we like, and even the kids can study without burning candles. Even those with hard work, like tailors and barbers, can work overnight without waiting for NEPA. And their income will even be calculatively steady because they do not depend on the wobbling electricity.

It is not so good if we depend on government electricity because it will give daily stress and will not give total independence, as everyone will be rushing to get fuel during this heat period, and with solar, darkness will be far from us because there are always rays of light to boost the solar panel.

When there is solar everywhere, it gives room for more security in our communities, which makes it safer, and even shops can stay open for longer, and those selling drinks can have a chilled drinks to sell out.

Solar might be expensive, but the benefit that comes with it is much more than we can imagine because it gives us total control over the things we do, and we can have the full confidence to work without interruption, unlike when working with the government light, which, to me, is the freedom we need.
