Splinterlands Reward Chests

Ok, my mind is officially blown! As a new player, it's super exciting to receiving goods that will help with the game. These little bad boys are known as loot chests. The loot chest will differ according to your level.

So this morning, I opened the app this morning to have a quick round of Splinterlands and was greeted by the Reward Chest Had no idea about they excited and to my surprise, there were a few goodies in them. After a bit of reading we know that novice players will generally get rewards according to the following ration- 45% Potion; 45% Credits; 10% Card

Let's unpack them shall we?

Chest 1 - 10 Credits

The Currency / credits gained during the game can be used to purchase items from the shop or cards, packs etc. So far I've only used credits to buy the Summoner's Spellbook.

Chest 2 - Pelacor Deceiver

Apparently a common card within this loot category, but I like that it's a speedy little bugger, with 8 health. His abilities include Phase, Retaliate and Flying. More about the Pelacor can be found at the Splinterlands Wiki

Chest 3 - Alchemy Potion

I believe these potions increase the chance of obtaining better or rare cards (the elusive gold-foil cards). The thing is you need 5 of them to open each pack. I guess the question is, how often will you get these potions...

Chest 4 - 8 Credits

A little bit more currency to help with what I'm guessing is a must - card rentals! This seems to be the logical method to get further on in the game without breaking your bank! Plus, I haven't really seen card packs for sale as of yet, they're always sold out!

Chest 5 - Legendary Potion

Just like the Alchemy Potion, these potions are meant to optimize packs you open. I haven't been able to get mush more info except the one on Splinterlands Wiki.

Well, there you have it, 5 loot chest rewards at the novice level on Splinterlands. I'm still trying to understand the game at this point. To be fair, I have not looked deep into hive for more resources on the topic. But I'm definitely looking forward to learning more about it!
