Has Anyone Ever Been Double Charged When Buying DEC?

avatar

Before emailing Splinterlands HQ I thought I'd see if anyone here has ever experienced this, can easily see what's occurred, and/or knows what I can do to look into this. Also if there's anything I can provide a screenshot of to give more details, let me know and I can add it, or post it in the comments.

What happened:

I decided to convert 8 Hive into 2,975 DEC. I knew how much DEC I already had, and how much I needed for a card purchase I was planning to make. I don't have a screenshot of this, but I had exactly 30 Hive in my wallet before making this transaction. I went on Splinterlands to make the conversion, and I am certain I just clicked once.

Once the process was complete I saw that I had the right amount of DEC in my Splinterlands account. Maybe ten minutes later I went onto PeakD just to check some unrelated things, and saw my total Hive was at 14:

My first thought was to question my basic math skills, but I realized a second later that something was definitely wrong. As you can see at the bottom of the screenshot, I had 8 Hive transferred to the token converter twice. After going to check the wallet interface on multiple Hive dApps and seeing they all showed the same thing, I then checked my Splinterlands balance history. It showed this:

I thought for a moment perhaps the amount put into my account was the total of the 16 Hive's worth of DEC, but checking again how much 8 Hive was worth in DEC with the converter (without clicking 'buy'), I was officially stumped.

I tried a few more things, such as logging out and back in to both Splinterlands, and my PeakD account, but it's all stayed the same. What stumps me is where would the missing transaction even end up? They both appear to have the same code, although I'm not super techy and I don't know if there's a more detailed place one can go to look at the block transactions with more info.

I even checked Hive Engine as I've been surprised to find random tokens show up there before, lol. Perhaps this is beyond what can be diagnosed by anyone here, but any help or ideas on what to look into would be great! The next step after that is to email Splinterlands, but if this is purely some bizarre glitch and that Hive (which isn't some huge amount thankfully) is gone, well I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else!
