Animated Corpse Last Man Standing - And It Is Still Bad

Animated Corpse is kind of expensive. An ordinary corpse for 4 mana is a lot. It doesn't tank well, doesn't deal damage, has no special abilities of its own. There is no way this will work for the Death Splinter.

Undeads rely heavily on the ranged damage dealers unless you've got some non-basic cards. This means that you need to protect them with a reasonable tank.

→ You can get an Animated Corpse with 6 HP, 2 ATK, and 1 Speed for 4 mana.
→ You can get Haunted Spirit with 7 HP, 2 ATK, 2 Speed with healing for 5 mana.

Animated Corpse is never a good choice. 2 Speed pretty much guarantees that the regeneration will trigger at least one time in low mana-cap battles, but the corpse will die when low-speed tanks hit, or at the beginning of the next round.

I don't think it is possible to make it work until level 4 when it gets a little situational - still not great.

Valuations Against The Market

I don't think this card has any value and the market seems to confirm it. It stays low price with one major volume spike. No one is buying this card to make it lvl 2 or lvl 3. They need that void ability to make it useful.

The ratio of cards to total BCX is about 4.9 to 1 which means that this card has some value in the high-level games which is further confirmed by the difference between the lowest price and a lowest BCX price. If it was as useless in higher leagues, there would be a discount from people who leveled it up and regret it.

With another pack around the corner, I recommend getting yourself a pack. You will get three or four on Steem Engine instead of getting this monster to some lvl4, you are bound to get something out of it.

Clearly a better tank with guaranteed melee damage retaliation. Imagine I had a zombie there. I would lose - almost guaranteed.
