My Favorite Battle Of The Day 10/20/21

Luck

My favorite Battle Of The Day today was a match that I did what I always preach to others not to do, I got in a hurry and didn't pay attention to the battle rules. I saw that my opponent was playing a lot of magic users in their last 5 matches so I quickly fielded a team that would work well against a magic user. But I didn't notice that one of the Battle Rules was Snipe which would me to be attacked in my vulnerable secondary. I was lucky to win. Here's how it played out.

At the start of the match, my Mushroom Seer took the brunt of the attacks. Thanks to his Silence ability, he lasted longer than I expected but by the end of the round he could take no more and expired. Meanwhile my secondary monsters were able to do a lot of damage to my opponent's Caladuum.

At the start of round 2, my Wood Nymph took three quick hits and died. But my Unicorn Mustang did his job and vanquished the opposing tank.

In Round 3 my Spirit of the Woods was able to withstand the attacks of my opponent's magic users while my Unicorn Mustang once again earned his salt by killing multiple opponents with his Reflection ability and melee attack.

By the start of Round 4, the match's outcome was now obvious. Even with his Last Stand ability enacted the enemy Efreet Elder was doomed.

The first move of the 5th Round was the Efreet Elder committing suicide by attacking my Unicorn Mustang and being killed by the magic reflection.

Victory was mine!

It's always extra sweet when the death blow is self inflicted. Icing on the cake. Or is !BEER on the !PIZZA the modern equivalent we're rolling with these days?

I hope it's not !LUV on the !BRO. That seems too new agey for me.

few times I saw that battle has weak magic rule or reverse speed and still went with team full of mages. sometimes it worked. Most of the time it didn't work. congrats

Yeah, I'll try a bunch of mages in Water splinter on Reverse Speed ruleset. But that's done intentionally and I try to counter it with Torhilo leading the way.

Don't you hate it when your own rules get the best of you? HAHAHA! There's a rule I share with all my friends and they all swear my this little rule of mine... well... the PROBLEM now is ... when I don't uphold to that little rule myself, they sure love to tell me about it! "HEY.. I thought you said we needed to...." :) I laugh and say, I still believe in the rule, I just sometimes might not remember to follow it! HAHAHA

LOVE this post, Gregory! You're so awesome! :) Thanks for showing us how a battle can play out in the end. ;) Have a great day!

As I was looking through my days battles and was trying to decide which one to feature, I almost skipped this one because I had violated one of my cardinal rules. But in the end I decided to go with it to show everyone that maistakes happen and sometimes with a lot of luck you can still win. Thank you for all the kind words here and in other posts.
