Did you MISS OUT on DYGYCON 7? The AKWARD story.

I never played second life or a VR game. So DYGYCON 7 was my first Metaverse like experience.
It was like entering a pub all alone, and being not sure if every body is either looking at you, looking at something or people are even real. The only thing I knew for sure it was awkward.

It was rather fun exploring the different rooms, I even throw a fishing rod in the water, tried to connect to someone while fishing but I fail miserably at both. The only way I was able to communicate was to spam confused emoticons, and I still have no idea how the fishing works. There was a leaderboard, but I assume that’s a leaderboard of real life fish caught since fishing in the digital pond seems impossible.

So I went back to the start, at the desk I found the type message option! Finally a way I could annoy others! and boy that was quite the experience.
DYGYCON 7 was full of early adopters ready to do some exploring and sharing experiences. As well as professional people from the crypto space all over the world.
It was a great place to have some fun and connect to people.

Then the “Go to event” button came popping-up. It caused me PTS to from pop-up ads so I closed it.
When I was people disappearing in thin air I decided to join them in the event. 5 minutes in the event they said the waited for someone I saw earlier in the lobby. So I went back to the lobby and “politely” poke that person which seems to work and we both teleported back to the event… It was empty… it took me a while of verry confused moments to realize we were at the right place, we were on the right time, my smell could not have driven everybody away. No we were on a different dimension! Only 36 people could join a one session, since it was a event we were deemed not welcome in the first session and we should have our own party. Eventually we could enter the first session we had some laughs and discussion it was fun.

To recap:
Was it akward? Heeeellll Yeah.
Was it a efficient way to communicate? Heeeelllll No.
Did you miss out? Yes, It was a great experience, and a great opportunity to meet verry nice and interesting people who could be great for you network. I would recommend everybody to give it a try next time! And yes, you missed some SWAG options!
