Why I Delegated all my 250K+ $SPS - My Strategy for SPS Moving Forward...

Hey All,

image.png

Splintershards aka SPS is the governance token of the game Splinterlands. And recently only we had this features of #SPS delegation introduced where players can delegate their $SPS to other players for 7 days minimum and receive $DEC aka Dark Energy Crystals which is another in-game currency of Splinterlands for delegation of the #SPS. I started SPS delegation with a small amount in my first round, then increased the amount to 120K+ SPS delegated and finally here I am where I have delegated all the 250K+ SPS that I HODLD as of today.

My 250K+ $SPS Delegated - My Strategy Moving Forward...

image.png

As you can see from the above image the 257K+ SPS is delegated with an average APR return above 9%; which I feel isn't bad at all; considering the fact you also get the 16% APR reward for staking #SPS. So in all the APR is above 25% not including the #GLX tokens that one receive for staked #SPS. To be honest, I have rented out all my cards and have been receiving $DEC consistently on a daily basis and hence keeping SPS ideal made no sense to me and it did be better off generating more passive income once your delegate to players in need of it. This is the glimpse to my #DEC poring in to my wallet via all streams rental and the #sps delegated.

image.png

I have close to 35K+ $DEC accumulated so far, this is the in game balance. But there was more which I redirected to the DEC - SPS liquidity pool. I have been slowly increasing my stake in that pool as well, since I am targeting to have 100K+ DEC added to the liquidity pool. So far I have reached 770K+ DEC added so another 230K needs to be added along with #SPS in the pool

My Strategy for SPS Moving Forward...

So now it would be clear as to why I have delegated 250K+ #SPS. If not then let me tell you as I am not playing the game it made no sense to keep #SPS ideal, whereas it can earn you extra 9% APR on above the staking rewards. Now moving forward to the strategy for #SPS forward the plan is to further #build & #hodl SPS and get to a point of have 300K+ #SPS staked. For that reason I am redirecting all my daily SPS rewards via the liquidity pool, holding in game assets, license node etc all of the #sps rewards goes back to the staking pool. In all roughly I am adding 375+ #sps token daily to the staking pool.

Here is my DEC :: SPS liquidity pool status, this is worth $1200+ The plan is to build this pool further with #DEC rental and #sps delegated. I have 35K+ $DEC ready to be added to the pool and currently am waiting on the #sps to be accumulated. In my last post - SPS Delegation Round 2 - I stated that I would be looking forward to further leveraging the SPS delegation system and here I am taking its full advantage by delegating all my 250K+ #sps delegated which in return has generated another passive income streams that just keeps on growing on a daily basis by just HOLDING #HODL #SPS or by #delegating #SPS as well. I keep a close track of the passive income here and would also try buy some packs as its been a long time that I didn't buy card packs. The intention is not to open the card packs but HODL them for now. Another thing to watch would be the price associated to the #delegation of the SPS, would be nice if we see momentum building up here and the bids for #sps increase with more #dec being given out and ultimately increasing the average APR rate from 9% to 10% and above... #SPS to the moon...sooon... cheers

This looks like a good plan to utilise the sps stake in game account. I will look in to this. Thanks for sharing

There's one very big stat missing from the delegation screen and that's telling you for existing delegations of SPS at what DEC rent that contract is at. It tells you when you go to fill a bid but it doesn't show you after. There are some I'm sure I would like to nix that could fetch a higher rate now but it seems impossible to tell.
