English Version

Hello everyone, welcome to another post about Splinterlands. With the arrival of Riftwatchers 6 new summoners arrived in Splinterlands and each one with incredible utilities to put into practice on the battlefield, but for this post I will talk about Summoner Aquatus from the water deck and why I consider it a great choice to be have by your side in battles.

As with all my posts, I like to show a little more about the card outside the battlefield through its history, and this post will not be an exception so let's get to know a little more about the origins of Aquatus and how it came to be. in Splinterlands.

History

Lemell is a flooded realm covered in vast oceans. The Aqua Sapiens, a splinter of humans with gills and webbed fingers and toes, inhabit the shallow waters surrounding its islands and archipelagos.

Aquatus was young when the Chaos Legion came and the dark god drained his home of magic. When the Riftwatchers followed, the Aqua Sapiens remained wary, not knowing whether they were friend or foe. But when a landing party arrived on an island near his home, Aquatus was curious. He snuck into the Riftwatchers’ camp late at night and stole a satchel. In it, he found waxed scrolls bearing ancient runic symbols, and something stirred within him. He became obsessed, and for years after the Riftwatchers left, he studied the runes, even fashioning a bandolier so he could carry them with him everywhere he went.

When next the Riftwatchers visited Lemell, Aquautus sought them out. They promised to teach him how to harness the power of the runes if he joined their fight against the Chaos Legion. Aquatus agreed without hesitation, leaving Lemell and his people behind for the promise of a new beginning.

The Ocean is vast even in Splinterlands and you are able to encounter magnificent creatures like the Aqua Sapiens (Aquatus), as well as all those who have joined the Riftwatchers, Aquatus seeks justice for all the harm that Chaos Legion is causing and for this with the help of his Riftwatchers friends he will increase his powers and seek a new beginning for his people.

Now that we know more about the amazing story behind the summoner Aquatus, let's find out what he's like on the battlefield in practice, but first let's get to know how he works in theory.

STATS

As a summoner, Aquatus doesn't have much that I can explain, just its main use, which is the Backfire ability. This ability will be given to all your allied cards and it will make every time your opponent's cards miss the attack, they will be penalized by taking 2 damage.

It may seem like little since the probability of missing attacks is often not something you can trust 100% in battle, but you can be sure that there are amazing cards in the water deck with other abilities and even enormous agility that will help a lot for this ability to be activated multiple times during battle.

Explaining in a better way how the Back Fire ability works:

The backfire ability will do 2 damage whenever an opposing card misses the attack and there is no ability that prevents this damage or decreases it. This means abilities like Reflection Shield, Shield and Void will not affect damage. This is bad news for your opponents but good news for you as nothing will stop you from doing more damage in battle.

To maximize your chances of dealing damage with the backfire ability you need to have cards where the chance of dodging attacks is high. For this you need to choose cards that have a lot of agility and if possible also abilities like Flying, Dodge and Blind.

Okay, so far everything was in theory so that you could understand how the Backfire ability works, now I will show you in practice using the summoner Aquatus in a battle and I will try to use cards that have a good chance of dodging attacks.

Aquatus on the battlefield

Watch

in the fieldThe Battle Aquatus cannot be defined less than amazing because when you use cards with a high chance to dodge attacks, the damage he is capable of inflicting in a battle is immensely beneficial to your victory, after all seeing the opposing cards miss the attack is quite satisfying and dealing damage when that happens makes things even better.

In this battle I used the Serpent of Eld that will be the star of the team after the summoner Aquatus, it is a card that has a good amount of speed and also the Dodge ability that increases the chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks by +25 %, so have no doubt that he will be an excellent match for this summoner.

If you watch the battle through the link I left above you will soon realize how I'm not exaggerating that Aquatus is an excellent choice of summoner and in this battle he managed to perfectly prove it being the card that did the most damage during the battle. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that maybe only Aquatus and Serpent of Eld could do the job, but I can't give all the credit to them because the other cards also had great participation.

That was my post about summoner Aquatus on the battlefield, hope you enjoyed it, thanks for reading and see you next time!

In my opinion, this is a very scary summoner that could become quite nice to play especially in higher leagues. Combined with fast cards, dodge and fly abilities, you could set up a totally defensive deck and your opponent would just get hit by not hitting you...

Yes it is very scared and best of all is that there is no way to avoid the damage. Thanks for choosing my post!
