Olá a todos, sejam bem vindo a mais um post sobre Splinterlands e desta vez eu estarei falando sobre a carta Mordeus do deck de fogo. Não faz muito tempo desde que Riftwatchers chegou nos campos de batalhas em Splinterlands e ela trouxe incriveis cartas para se utilizar, a carta Mordeus é uma delas e neste post eu explicarei porque considero ele uma excelente escolha para as batalhas.

Antes de começar falar sobre utilidades e estratégias que são os principais focos em Splinterlands, vamos começar com conhecendo mais sobre a carta fora do campo de batalha através de suas história já que na minha opinião é uma ótima forma de dar mais emoção nas batalha porque você irá conhecer as origens das cartas que utiliza nelas.

História

Mordeus é um monarca demônio que habita nos planos inferiores, onde governa Conflagis e seus habitantes de demônios e outros demônios. Estudiosos acreditam que Mordeus se alimenta de raiva e pode influenciar qualquer pessoa ou lugar onde a raiva seja intensa. Aqueles que chamam sua atenção ficam loucos de raiva. Os edifícios estremecem e caem em ruínas. Fogo irrompe da terra.

Uma vez que Mordeus tenha consumido raiva suficiente, o monarca demoníaco pode dar-lhe forma física - ou até mesmo aparecer - causando estragos e matando qualquer um por perto.

Assim como se espera de uma carta do deck de fogo, o Mordeus é habita em um local quente e caractéristicas ligada ao fogo são comuns para ele (a raiva também pode ser considerada uma dessas caracteristicas). Na minha opinião eu não esperaria menos dele e assim como mostra em sua história ele possui um intenso poder que é claramente representado no campo de batalha por seu poderoso ataque.

Agora que enchemos nossas almas de conhecimento fora do campo de batalha, então irei mostrar qual a utilidade do Mordeus nas batalhas, vamos começar pelas as suas estatísticas.

Estatísticas

Ao olharmos para a carta Mordeus a primeira coisa que conseguimos pensar é que ele é o tipo de carta com um ataque incrivelmente devastador porque mesmo no level 1 ele já possui uma quantidade aterrorizante de ataque melee que certamente irá causar um grande estrago nas cartas de seu adversários.

Por outro lado após no encantarmos com seu incrivel ataque, logo percebemos suas desvantagens que são sua velocidade e vida baixas. Então possuir o Mordeus no campo de batalha te proporciona um incrivel ataque mas também uma grande vulnerabilidade já que ele pode ser derrotado com certa facilidade antes mesmo que seja capaz de atacar. Mas se existe essa possibilidade então porque eu deveria usar o Mordeus em minhas batalhas?

Os motivos de usar ele são bem simples na verdade. O primeiro é que mesmo ele não sendo uma carta dificil de ser derrotada, não significa que ele será o alvo dos ataques logo no inicio porque a única forma dele se torna o alvo é se o seu adversário possuir uma carta com a habilidade Opportunity e se o Mordeus for a carta de menor vida que você possuir, então caso não tenha nenhuma dessas opções basta posicionar ele em uma posição em que ele não seja um alvo fácil. O Segundo motivo para utilizar ele é na regra Reverse Speed, onde as cartas com menor velocidade atacam primeiro, então o Mordeus irá ter uma grande vantagem nessa regra. O terceiro motivo é claramente o seu poderoso ataque que irá derrotar as cartas adversárias com facilidade. O quarto e último motivo é suas habilidades que irei explicar logo abaixo.

Com essa breve explicação você consegue entender que ao usar o Mordeus existe algumas desvantagens mas o beneficio que ele pode proporcionar nas batalhas certas são muito maiores, além disso existem regras de batalhas que podem favorecer muito ele.

Agora vamos conhecer as suas habilidades que são a Opportunity, Stun e Piercing.

A primeira habilidade é a Opportunity, essa habilidade faz o Mordeus ter como alvo a a carta adversária com menor vida. Então basta você pensar que esse poderoso ataque que o Mordeus possuir irá atacar a carta com menor vida, então quais as chances dessa carta sobreviver? isso significa que as chances do Mordeus derrotar uma carta a cada ataque são bem altas e quanto menos cartas seu adversário possuir no campo de batalha, maiores serão suas chances de vitória.

A segunda habilidade é a Stun, essa habilidade faz o Mordeus ter 50% de chance de stunar o seu alvo e torna ele incapaz de atacar ou realizar qualquer ação até que o turno seja encerrado. Deixar uma carta sem conseguir realizar nada no turno te dar uma grande vantagem porque é como se o seu adversário tivesse uma carta a menos.

A terceira habilidade é a Piercing, essa habilidade faz o Mordeus causar o dano excedente em escudos diretamente na vida do seu alvo. Explicando de uma forma melhor funciona assim: Sempre que uma carta melee ou ranged ataca uma carta come escudo o dano é causado no escudo e não na vida da carta e se o ataque da sua carta for maior que o escudo não irá fazer diferença porque a carta adversária não irá receber nenhum dano na vida, apenas irá perder o escudo. Mas no caso da habilidade Piercing quando o ataque da sua carta for maior que o escudo do adversário então a diferença será causada na vida da carta adversária.

Essa foi a explicação sobre suas habilidades. Na minha opinião, apesar dos riscos que existe de possuir ele na batalha também existe grandes beneficios nas batalhas certas porque uma carta que pode causar tanto dano como o Mordeus não deve ser ignorada já que a batalha só acaba quando um dos lados não possui mais cartas no campo, então ataque é essencial para que isso aconteça e o Mordeus é uma das melhores cartas quando o assunto é esse, mas claro que essa é apenas a minha opinião.

Quanto custa para ter o Mordeus em minha coleção?

O Mordeus é uma carta da edição de Riftwatchers que foi recentemente lançada então seu preço não é tão alto se comparado com cartas de edições anteriores. Sua raridade é lendária então mesmo que seu preço não seja tão alto se comparado com outras edições ele ainda não será muito barato para se obter.

History

Mordeus is a devil monarch that dwells in the lower planes, where it rules Conflagis and its inhabitants of demons and other fiends. Scholars believe Mordeus feeds on anger and can influence anyone or anyplace where anger is intense. Those who draw his attention become mad with rage. Buildings tremble and fall to ruin. Fire erupts from the land.

Once Mordeus has consumed enough anger, the devil monarch can give it physical form—or even appear himself—wreaking havoc and killing anyone nearby.

There's more about Mordeus' story that you can find in the LORE of the card but I won't put it here because the post would be too long and also because it's a complement to deepen (although this complement is longer than this part haha) . As you would expect from a fire deck card, the Mordeus is inhabited in a hot place and characteristics linked to fire are common for him (anger can also be considered one of these characteristics). In my opinion I wouldn't expect less from him and as his story shows he possesses an intense power that is clearly represented on the battlefield by his powerful attack.

Statistics

When we look at the Mordeus card the first thing we can think of is that it is the type of card with an incredibly devastating attack because even at level 1 it already has a terrifying amount of melee attack that will certainly do a lot of damage to your cards. opponents.

On the other hand, after being enchanted by its incredible attack, we soon realized its disadvantages, which are its low speed and health. So having Mordeus on the battlefield gives you an incredible attack but also a great vulnerability as he can be defeated quite easily before he is even able to attack. But if there is such a possibility then why should I use Mordeus in my battles?

The reasons for using it are quite simple actually. The first is that even though he is not a hard card to defeat, it doesn't mean that he will be the target of attacks right away because the only way he becomes the target is if your opponent has a card with the Opportunity ability and if Mordeus is the lowest life card you have, so if you don't have any of these options, just place him in a position where he's not an easy target. The second reason to use it is in the Reverse Speed rule, where cards with lower speed attack first, so Mordeus will have a big advantage in this rule. The third reason is clearly his powerful attack that will defeat opposing cards with ease. The fourth and final reason is his abilities which I will explain below.

With this brief explanation you can understand that when using Mordeus there are some disadvantages but the benefit he can provide in the right battles are much greater, in addition there are battle rules that can greatly favor him.

Now let's get to know his abilities which are Opportunity, Stun and Piercing.

The first ability is Opportunity, this ability makes Mordeus target the opposing card with the lowest health. So just think that this powerful attack that Mordeus has will attack the lowest health card, so what are the chances of this card surviving? this means that the chances of Mordeus defeating a card with each attack are very high and the fewer cards your opponent has on the battlefield, the greater yours chances of victory.

The second ability is Stun, this ability makes Mordeus have a 50% chance to stun his target and makes him unable to attack or take any action until the turn is over. Leaving a card without being able to accomplish anything on the turn gives you a big advantage because it's as if your opponent has one less card.

The third ability is Piercing, this ability causes Mordeus to deal excess shield damage directly to his target's health. Explaining in a better way it works like this: Whenever a melee or ranged card attacks a shield card the damage is done on the shield and not on the card's health and if your card's attack is greater than the shield it won't make a difference because the opposing card will not receive any damage in life, it will only lose its shield. But in the case of Piercing ability when your card's attack is higher than the opponent's shield then the difference will be caused in the opponent's card health.

That was the explanation of his abilities. In my opinion, despite the risks of having him in battle, there are also great benefits in the right battles because a card that can cause as much damage as Mordeus should not be ignored since the battle only ends when one of the sides has no more cards. on the field, so attack is essential for that to happen and Mordeus is one of the best cards when it comes to this, but of course this is just my opinion.

How much does it cost to have Mordeus in my collection?

The Mordeus is a card from the Riftwatchers edition that was recently released so its price is not that high compared to cards from previous editions. Its rarity is legendary so even if its price is not that high compared to other editions it still won't be very cheap to obtain.

Its current price is $7.40 on the Splinterlands marketplace and in my opinion it is not that high for a card as powerful in terms of attack as it is, but we also have to take into account its risks and the fact that it is a recent edition, so its true value will only be defined in the future (this is not an investment tip).
