Guild Power - A Major Revamp in Guild system

Hello all @splinterlands lover and Hive friends

Hope everything is good at your end.

The Town Hall is where the Splinterlands team provides game updates, including recent changes and upcoming plans. I recently listened to one of these Town Halls and found it to be extremely informative. It was my first time watching a Town Hall video from beginning to end. The video shed light on recent changes made in the game and also discussed future plans for development. Overall, it was a great experience and helped me better understand what's happening in the game. The team discussed on recent updates such as the guild points update, card history API, prize for tournament and other updates in progress include modernization for a mobile app, improvements to card collection power calculation, data cleanup by removing the unnecessary card data on server, and a back-end overhaul of the market code. They also discuss upcoming priorities such as the CP for SPS staking swap, Land 1.5, and removing bots from Modern.

Splinterlands team has announces that they have switched to a bi-weekly Town Hall schedule instead of the meeting every week. Team has plan to have an open platform for the community to share their opinions about the game with each other.

The Great Burring Event is near to end.

The Great Burring Event was initiative on occasion/celebrate the five-year anniversary of Splinterlands. The participant who burn DEC or DEC-B will be rewarded awesome prices. The bonus is, anything (DEC or DEC-B) burn will also become Guild Power to level the guild buildings. The even will end in approximately 5 days form now. I am also participating in the event and burned some DEC-B, which gives me 90000 points and I am at 1077 ranked on leaderboard. I have burned the token on first day itself which give me a benefit of 3x points.

Till now 374,036,487.404 TOTAL DEC BURNED and 161,249,844.504 TOTAL DEC-B BURNED.

The high number of burning token itself shows the success of the event. At the end of the event the price will be distributed to the participants. But their will not be any hurry to claim the prize. When the event ends, data from the blockchain will determine the prizes for each participant, and individuals can claim their prize whenever it's convenient for them. The prize will be distributed in same way the card Airdrop works.

Guild Power - A Major Revamp in Guild system

The Team has recently launched a guild power, which are Soul bound token for the Guild. The players will get the Guild Power per burning DEC or DEC-B at a 1:1 rate so for 30k DEC- B burned in event means I also got 30k Guild Power.

The Guild power is soul bond on nature so they can not be transferred to the other players but can be donate to the Guild building. The Guild Power is associate with the players so not with the Guild. If any player left the guild or get kicked out from the guild for any reason, the player will carry the Guild points along with him. The player will only get the 90% of the Guild point when the guild.
The team is considering the idea of tokenizing guilds as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), but acknowledge it is a large project and is not likely to happen anytime soon.
