There are many new things going on in Splinterlands. The project is going to complete his 5 year on blockchain and they are celebrating the event and has initiated the DEC/DEC-B token Burning contest which has a lots of prices for the top leaderboard holders as well as many random prices. To be eligible for the contest players have to burn DEC or DEC-B. For every DEC or DEC-B burned will gain some points to the players and the leaderboard will be based on the points any player will earned by the end of the contest.
Sending DEC or DEC-B to null or to build the Guild Building will not be counted towards the points for contest. Players will need to burn their DEC or DEC-B through the special event page in the Splinterlands shop for it to count for the event.

Even will start from Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 and it will run for 30 days, ending on June 29th, 2023.

As I have already mentioned that every DEC or DEC-B burn will Here is a twist in the contest to encourage the participation form first day and to avoid the last day snipe of top leaderboard spots. For the first day every DEC or DEC-B burned will be equal to the 3 point but on the last day every DEC or DEC-B burned between the first and last day will be will decrease an equal amount every day.

You can check the leader board price below. So if you will be able to secure any position in top 200 means you will get an assured rewards. But how many DEC or DEC- you may required to burn to be in top 200 is the tough question.

If you are not able to secure any position in top 200 then do not worry their is still a chance you may get some rewards.
For every 10k points players will earn will also enable him to be eligible for a reward pool and their will a chance to receive one of the below item form the prize pool.

Guild Power are the another addition in the Splinterlands ecosystem. DEC or DEC-B that is burned during the even will be turned into Guild Power (GP) for that player. Guild Power is a upcoming feature in the game. The Guild Power will replace the guild buildings in near future. One more interesting fact is that the Guild Power will be associate with the players not with the Guild. So if for any reason if any player left the Guild or may be kicked off form the Guild he will carry the Guild points with him.
The players will get the Guild Power per burning DEC or DEC-B at a 1:1 rate.

So the Burning contest will give the additional benefits, or you can say thir will be no loss as you will get the Guild Point converted form the DEC or DEC-B and if you got luck you may get an additional price also.

But it is clear that if you want to participate then the initial day for burning the DEC or DEC- B will more profitable.

Splinterlands is one of the successful play2earn game on Hive blockchain and the team is always do experiments to up lift the token value. This is also a initiative in same line. Please note this post is not a financial advice so do your own research before investing.

Aves Sturgis is Legendary card and belongs to the Life Splinter which cost 6 mana to summon. It has Training ability and gives the attack ability to adjutant non attack moonsets. I love this new ability.

I was more engaged in the threads so do not get chance for participating in the Tournaments. I must say the tournament are also good source for earning SPS and some DEC. I recommend the tournament despites the price are low for the low league tournaments but they give good exposer and enhance your skills.

Following three Legendary Cards (form Neutral, Death and Water splinter) pulled form previous season loot chests. Kulu Matermind looks awesome and Drybone Raider looks dangerous. Waiting for Gold Foil Legendary.

Rental Earnings

I have some spare cards (normal as well as gold foil) so I am trying my luck with rental also. I have created a new account and using the splex.gg for rental automation. The Rental income is not that good now days, some time its less then 1k per day against the average 2k per day in past.
In the last season I was bale to ear aprox 5k DEC.

I have changed the strategy for rental also and now setup a separate account for Splex.gg. Found that the site works very effectively and getting more then 1k DEC per day form rental.

In last season earned 5000 DEC as Rental Income using the Splex.gg.
