My MoonKarts Journey: Balancing Merges & Market Prices
Hello all Hive People & Play2Earn lovers,
So far the MoonKart Journey is fun and I am involving not to much but still trying to play maximum races as per my schedule permits. I stare earning the rewards every season. The Script and the Credit are the only token can be used for making purchase on official game site. I am not holding the much of script token which actually a hurdle for me add more cards in my game collection. I was planning to purchase some Script token form the market but the price is one the higher side at the moment. So I placed some buying order at my expected price and a few of them get executed and now I have 12.381 liquid Script token in my account, which are not sufficient to make the purchase of items I am planning for.

Below is the summary of items I have in my collection -
- Kart: LunicityX (Rare), Astrokart (Common)
- Driver: Spark(Common), Surge (Common)
- Accessories: Curve Glide (Common), Grip Ease (Common), Sure Turn (Common)
- Fuel Generation: 7.4
I have 2 number Grip Ease (Common) cards, which I won in a giveaway by @rentmoney , thanks a lot for the NFT, I really appreciate it. In the part I use to participate so many Splinterlands giveaway and contests and a lot of people use to run such giveaways. But Now days I hardly see any giveaway post. I also run a giveaway series in the past form my alt account freemonster but that is mostly inactive in terms of posting on blokchain but I am using it for playing games. I am thinking of run a giveaway series again form my alt account, which will be my game update also along with Colony Token or Splinterlnds cards Giveaway post.
Their are tow ways to improve the game play experience and make progress on leaderboard, one is to purchase the better rarity cards and second is merging the cards or upgrading the level of cards. Both the activities need the script token as you have to make the purchase of game assets.
Below is the table showing the Card Merging for Astrokart i.e. Common kart of the game.

The table shows the change in the stats of the NFT when we merging the cards, and also shows the no of cards required for the particular level. To max a common card a max level i.e. 10th level we required the 400 cards and in case of rare card to make it max kevel we required 150 cards. Of course the higher rarity cards required less card to level up but the cards get costlier as the rarity increased so the common cards are cheapest and Legendary cards are costlier cards.
I have two Karts one is Astro and other one is LunacityX. If I look at the Card Merging Table of both ten cards then I can find that the Astro at level 5 is almost equal to the speed (other stats are still have good difference). So to match the speed I need 25 cards of Astro kart. I was confused that should I go for level up the kart or I should purchase the higher rarity karts itself. To make a decision I was checking the upgrading stats of different rarity cards.
Below is the screenshot of 24 cards available in market, the total cost of 46.613 Script token which is average 1.95 Script token per Kart.
Below is the screenshot of 16 cards available in market, the total cost of 107.58 Script token which is average 6.72 Script token per Kart, which is more then three times the cost of common kart.
If you look closely, in case of the rare kart the first six karts are below $1 but the seventh immediately increased by 30%. It is very common that the price will increases when we see the listing price. So if someone has time means he do not want to purchase in single go then he may also get the rest of the karts near or equal to the lowest price available currently. This is all demand and supply scenario.
So here the question remain the same what I should do - should I purchase better rarity kart or upgrade the available common or rare cards with me?
Colony Token Stats
Colony token plays a important role in Moon Kart game ecosystem an has its own benefits when holding token in staked condition. At present after the 45th season end, I am holding the 61,022.716 Colony token and 50,640.87 token are in staked condition. With more then 50K staked colony token I am able to unlock the multiplier which actually helps me in ranking. I am targeting the 75K staked colony token now.
