New use case for SPS- will it bring more value to the token?

Hope everything is good at your end and enjoying the battle on field.

Splinterlands team is one of the dynamic team I know on Hive Blockchain in gaming section. Team always create new ways to make the game more interesting. The new edition cards and the new rule sets are some of the examples. The Splinterlands ecosystem has different parts within the team and has more then one tokens also. It is not easy task to produce value to different tokens which are whit in one ecosystem. The Game was started five years back and have seen many ups and down in cypto world. Their was one time when the DEC token was so low that it seams like the token will not stand again but the team created use case for DEC and during the SPS airdrop the token was trading more then x10 from its lows and breaks the paged value also. Splinerlands team also do new update/experimens or changes to bring more value to the tokens and ecosystem.

#SPS has new use case

Recently during the AMA team has indicated that in coming days the collection power will be replaced with the Staked SPS. That means to go higher in leagues the Staked SPS will play a major role. At present the collection power is used to determine the maximum league he player can enter but in coming days the staked SPS in players account will be used to calculate the maximum playable league for a player.

The Staked SPS is also required if you are participating in the tournaments. Most of the tournaments has prerequisites that the player must has some specified amount of Staked SPS in their account. So keep in mind if you wanna play the tournaments.

SPS Delegation

Yes it is possible to delegate the SPS. The team has indicated in recent AMA and now the option is available in game. If you no bale to find the option them check the below screenshots for the reference.
Click om the SPS tab under dashboard.

Click on the MANAGE option in left bottom side of the screen.

Now you can see the SPS delegation screen. there you will find two options one in Incoming and other is Outgoing.

Now the players can delegate the Staked SPS to alt accounts or to other players with this new addition. As per my information the delegation will take 7 days (similar to undelegation of Hive).

The New changes will bring more value to the SPS. Before that the major use case for SPS was the Voting power for proposals (DOA). The price of the SPS token is also low at current so its a good time to accumulate the token. and this is my personal opinion not a financial advice.
