Reflections on Six Years: A Journey Through Splinterlands

Many congratulation to Splinterlands community as the Splinterlands is now 6 year old project. My heathy congratulation to the @splinterlands team as the achievement is remarkable and this is because of the lots of efforts team put and made this project a one of the most successful project in Hive ecosystem or I would call the most successful project in play2earn field. I have seen the other play2earn project come and go but this is one stand still in front of any challenge and proof that they have good strategy and plan which make the project a leader in tis segment. The project has seen all up and down of market in last 6 years and also faced the heat form market but still they are able to handle it nicely.

I still remember the time when I joined the wonderful web3 space and many times I saw the game post form different players. At that time the giveaways were vey famous and players use to share the rewards and beta cards as a part of giveaways. I start participating those giveaways but at that time I was not playing the game. I will share one funny thought that comes in my mind about the cards I received form different giveaway. When I read some posts and trying to understands the game play. what I understand that the cards which are the monsters in the game fight each other and when all monsters form one team beaten by the other team the game ends. I thought in this way I will lost my card if I will lost the game as my monster will be dead if I lost the game lol.
I try to dig more and some to know that some players has more then one game account and they offer the account to other players to play on reward sharing basis. One person I come to know was the @rentmoney we approached him on discord and he provide a account which was a silver level account ready for play. We (me and my wife) were super excited and we stared playing the game. Slowly we learned more about the game and form the rewards we earned form the rented account we tart building our own collection.

I am playing the splinterlands form almost last 5 years. As I remember the beta packs were on sale and the reward cards form beta editions were distributed to players as daily as well as the season end rewards. At that time I was having more free time as compare to now as now the work load is more and we have one kid @gurseerat also. Before Gurseerat's birth I use to play more then 2 hours a every day. Now the condition not permits me to send much but fortunately their are other ways when helps me to earn form the game. The Lands and rental market is two of them. I am holding 11 plots and I have started the production on 8 out if 11 plots which produced SPS, Grains and Research token continuously. When I joined the game I was thinning that I cough the train late but when I sew my collection I must say I was late but not too late. At present my total collection worth more then 7.5K USD as per the splinterlands discord bot. It was amazing that the collection was worth more then 40K during the initial days of SPS airdrop. I have not sold any asset that time as I think the game has more bright future .
The best moment in game was for me was when I received a Gold Foil Legendary card - WAKA SPIRITBLADE

Its not like I have not received a Gold foil legendary before but it was a special edition card and is rare in the game as limited quantity are available. Before that I received the Gold Foil Black Dragon form dragon splinter form daily rewards.

Many things in the game has been changed over the time of 6 years. The recent big changes in reward system and the battle league mak ethe game more interesting and fun. Personally I like the update and with present set of cards I am able to unlock the Champion league form last three seasons. At present also I am also paying in the Champions I league and want to end the season in Champion II but I know the journey to Champion II is not easy.

In the coming days I am planning to be more active in Brawls and tournaments. Their was a time when I was use to ready for all brawl games but form couple of months I am not able to play because of some other personal commitments. But I ma trying to make my come back and today also played all my brawl games. I am very fortunate to be part of @teampossible and one of their guild. I am still continue to grow my account and upgrading my collection and will be in future also.

In any project when any new comers joined the project at first he face some difficulty as it is the time to learn and understand the project for them but after some time when the user understand and come to know about the project then they star enjoy the project and participate efficiently. This is the case here also, for new comers I will advice to get involved in the project and if yo do not have much to invest try the accounts on reward sharing basis. I also started in same way and now has a god amount of cards in collection. Do participate in contests organized by the official account as the content get supported by the splinterlands team and the earning from the posts may also be used to increase the collection.
