Unveiling the Excitement: A Dive into Splinterlands Pack Opening

Hope everything is good at your end.

Its been long time i have not purchased any pack and opened the same. The pack opening is always fun as we do not know what cards we are going to pull from the pack. The excitement of opening cards has its own fun. The pack opening is all depend on the luck some time we opened a number of packs and not received any good cards (for me good card means the gold foil or legendary cards), and some time if luck be on our side a single pack is more valuable then the 10 pack openings. Yes by using the Alchemy and Legendary Potion we are increasing our chance of getting the Gold Foil and Legendary cards but nothing is assured. I love to use those potion to increase the chance. The potions are also soul bond and their is not other use case so its better to use them for pack opening only. Each pack contains five random cards and one is always rare or above rarity so its sure that the all five will to be common. To be honest the Legendary are very rare so I am not expecting the Legendary in every pack opening but i ma more happy if get even a epic and if it is Gold foil Epic then its more valuable then the Legendary itself. The current series on pack sale is Rebellion, which is 5th major set in the Splinterlands ecosystem. The Rebellion ahs 96 new cards and also introduced the 5 new Abilities along with the Dual-Element Summoners.

What make me to purchase the pack

Today busy life trying to keep me away form the Hive and they were successful for some months but now I am back and trying to catch up. On Sunday I was traveling to my native place and it was 2 hour journey. I was alone so that means I have my own time. If my kids is traveling with us then she has the control of stereo and not let us play any music or song. But this time I was alone so played the latest Town Hall video. The Town Hall videos are best place to know about the development going on and give better insight of game. It also help us to understand better the mindset of developer and the management team. I use to listened to the town hall video in past but form some time the real life engagement does not allows me. But on Sunday I utilized time to listen to the video. The one segment where the Cryptomencer explained the new Airdrop system known as Conflicts took my attention. The new airdrop system ha completely changes the way it works before, it is more towards holding the assets. More you hold the Rebellion assets more are the chance you will get the airdrop as compare to the previous airdrop where users buy the packs to be eligible for the airdrop and then dumped all the packs and card in market. Which leads to the flood of cards in market and ultimately become the reason for lost of value of the cards. I speaks explain the concept well and I realized that I am not the part of airdrop till now. I decide to purchase the pack.

Pack Purchase and Pack Opening

Now I was makeup my mid to purchase my first pack but the question is which is the more price effective way for purchase. Their are two ways I can make the purchase first is using the official site form the sale section and other is the secondary market. Pack purchase form either way are eligible to participate in the conflicts. The official price of the pack is 5000 DEC or credit per pack. The price does down to 4000 DEC if buyer used the 5 vouchers per pack.

I checked the price on secondary market and found the price is less then the official sale price. I do nor way it is? but it looks that the purchasing the pack for secondary market is more profitable.

I still not able to understand why the price is lower then the official price, may be player purchasing in bulk with BONUS PACKS and selling the same with small margin.

Pack opening

I casually purchased one pack form the secondary market so that I can also participate in the airdrop by adding the cards or pack into wagon. I checked the hive engine wallet was able to purchase single pack. When I drop the pack for opening and moved the curser over the cards I was surprised to see the glow behind three cards . I was sure that I will received three cards which are not common. I opened first card and WOW its legendary. First rebellion pack and legendary its awesome. The second card was are and when i was moving my curser to next card for flip the cards and realized that the card turned into shining cards o wow that Gold Foil Rare cards. Third and fourth card was common and the last fifth card was also rare cards.
