-Step 1:

Based on the designs of the @splinterlands cards, I have put each character in fighting position, and yes, Grum at first glance did not look very aggressive.

-Step 2:

In a new layer under the sketch, I started the coloring of the illustration, for this I used somewhat muted colors, since I wanted the battle to take place in a sunset, so I was still hesitating about what tone I should use. I also immediately started to correct Grum's head, because the one in the sketch did not honor this warrior and it was too big.

-Step 3:

Here began my fight with the sky and the environment, because as I said before, I wanted the fight to take place in a sunset, but I didn't want the scenery to steal protagonism from the fighters, so I darkened the sky and added dust clouds on the ground to avoid drawing Grum's feet and also to generate some depth and distance between the soldier and the warrior.

-Step 4:

The fights at night look spectacular, but you have to know how to manage the color temperature, and in this case I had to "cool" the warm colors of each character, bringing Grum's green to blue and Serpentine's red to magenta.

-Step 5:

And now it's time to generate highlights in the illumination, for this I have used the fusion modes "overlay", "soft light", "screen" and "color dodge", also I have offset a little the color channels to have a minimum glitch effect which is combined with the motion blur of the tail of the soldier.

I also made Grum's eyes completely white to match the soldier's eyes and make them more aggressive, so you can really notice that they are going to have a legendary fight.

I think Grum would win that fight, although his slow speed could be a problem for his opponent.

On the other hand, excellent art my friend, quite an eye-catching scene.

With a single stroke of his sword the opponent would be finished, there is no doubt about that

And Thank you @cjlugo!!
