[Splinterlands] Late-emerging guild of Japanese, on its way to becoming the world's No.1

ENGEYE.png

This image is art drawn by former guild member @ocojoco .I want to fight like this brave samurai.

I have previously formulated a "Japanese Guild Consolidation Plan" and formed "Samurai Soul(Fuji)" as the best guild in Japan aiming for the global No.1.

And now, almost a year after the domestic guild restructuring, we are about to compete on a stage where the world's top guilds are gathered.

It has been a very long year.

The crypto/web3 gaming market was cooling down, and with high performance AI displacing humans, the Japanese playing Splinterlands were leaving.
And people are disappearing from guilds...which leads to a decline in guild strength. We have experienced many times of headhunting, increasing the strength of the guild, and then members leaving.

In order to rapidly develop the guild, we have raised funds from outside sources.

Purpose of this article

  • To let the Splinterlands community know about the "Samurai Soul" guild.
  • We want to contribute to the development of Web3 games by introducing "real examples of our serious devotion to Web3 games".

What is a guild in Splinterlands?

It is a place where players gather and live together.
All guild members build and level up the following four buildings to improve their individual Earn efficiency and to gain an advantage in guild battles.

  • Hall/Lodge.
    • Increase the number of members in the guild
    • Increase daily rewards
    • Increase the discount rate in the store
  • Arena
    • Raise the tier of guild battles
    • Increase rewards from guild battles
  • Store
    • Get more Guild Battle exclusive card packs
    • You will be able to buy items to produce high rares in Guild Battle exclusive card packs.
  • Barracks
    • More measures to give you an advantage in guild battles.

Growing these buildings requires time (like materials that cannot be bought with funds) and funds. Buildings do not grow quickly just because funds are available. It will take many guild battles with all members.

A plan to be the best in the world

I previously developed a "Japanese Guild Integration Plan" was formulated.
I would like to share some of the slides here.

Why do we want to be the best in the world?

It is for the guild members to "seriously enjoy" working together as one.
Of course we want to get high rewards, but if we only thought about Earn efficiency, we might not aim to be the best in the world. The rewards are not commensurate with the effort we have put into planning, guild management, and so on.
Prioritizing becoming the world's number one over earning money, grown-ups work hard at the game as if it were a club activity.

Fundraising through fundraising and sponsorship agreements

A total of 8,290,000 DEC has been charged for guild building so far, which is approximately 1,250,000 yen at the most recent rate (1 DEC = $0.001; $1 = 150 yen equivalent).
This is not refundable just because the guild is discontinued. In other words, it is a charge.

If the investment was returned when the guild was abolished, there might have been people who would have willingly invested in the guild. But it will not be refunded. Someone has no choice but to invest.
If Member A contributes 100,000 yen and Member B contributes 10,000 yen, there is a sense of inequality. Therefore, each member was asked to make a monthly investment within a reasonable range.

However, it would take several years to become No. 1 in the world by itself.
Other top guilds are made up of members who have been playing Splinterlands since its release or are losing out in terms of card holdings and financial resources. Some guilds have card holdings in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and the mega guild "YGG" is one of the strongest.

We assumed that by the time we had steadily raised funds and climbed the ladder, the well-established guilds would have climbed even higher.

Therefore, we decided to raise funds.
Funding through a decentralized blog and sponsored by LLAC. We especially want to thank LLAC for their support throughout the years.

We kept fighting for our goals.

We have spent less time in the guild than established guilds, and we are losing in the amount of cards we have.
The areas we are not losing are "passion for the game" and "playing skills ".

To be honest, there have been times when we have cooled off due to high performance AI Bot being too strong, card pool not growing, or members leaving the guild.
However, we, Samurai Soul, have continued to hone our playing skills in order to take the number one spot in the world.

Now the decisive battle is about to begin on the stage where the world's highest ranked guilds gather.

Conclusion: Guild Management in Web3Games

You can really enjoy guilds because you can spend and earn money. It is like running an organization or a company.

Draw up a vision, share it with all members, and walk in the same direction.
Raise funds and make investment decisions.
I, as the manager, sometimes make decisions, but basically all the members vote on the decisions.

We are no longer living in a game, but in the world of Splinterlands.
Even though I ended with a poem, I hope you will continue to support us, Samurai Soul.
