What the heck is up with these rental prices?

I'm just an average player in Splinterlands. I was able to grind my rating up to 1.6k power and thought I'd rent cards on the last day to hit the power requirement. So earlier today, I checked the rental market and to my surprise, the prices were so bloated!

I kept hitting refresh and the lowest I was able to rent to get that 70k power was for 800 DEC. If this is going to be the trend, I might be in the bronze league forever lol.

How about you? Were you able to hit the power required to get into the league appropriate to your rating?

This is what happens at the end of every season so players can rank up to meet the power requirements for their league rating.

Yeah, I know. But prices this season are crazy! I ended last season at Silver 1 too but I don't remember rentals going for as high as 4k DEC for a card.

I had to rent about 14,000 power to get my rank up to Silver III today and it was about $9 I think. Remains to be seen if it was worth spending so much for the extra four rewards chests. Fingers crossed!

This is how card owners and pioneers take advantage of new players and that's not a joke. Last july the rents weren't this crazy high. A Kron would only be 20dec per day or even lower. But that's just how it is. Late comers have to swallow everything unless the game itself do something to balance it a little bit.

Anyways it's all good. Like what they normally say just start on the bottom and work your way up or if you have the $$ go crazy.. lol I just wish that the game could leave the season end rewards like the last. :D
