Hello Splinterlands Community, the challenge for this week is to spread the wings of Regal Peryton and unleash its magic damage in the battlefield. It is part of the chaos legion set and also included in the starter cards available in the game, which makes it accessible for all players.

About Regal Peryton

Regal Peryton is a rare earth unit that deals magic damage to enemies and also part of the chaos legion set. The current price for a regular foil card is $0.34 while the gold foil card is currently listed at $2.91 on the market as of this writing. It is one of the expensive rare cards in the chaos legion set since it is mostly used when deploying magic damage lineup when it is paired with Obsidian.

The figure above shows the complete statistics of Regal Peryton from Level 1 up to Level 8. Since it is a rare unit it would be a bit costly to upgrade this card to its max level and even though it is part of the Chaos Legion set, the price for this card is still relatively high. On my perspective, upgrading this card to Level 3 is enough to increase its magic damage to 2 and with the buff coming from Obsidian or other summoner that grants magic damage, it would now deal 3 magic damage to opponents. It only has a single ability which is flying that may be useful against melee and ranged opponents.

The Ruleset

Unprotected

There are two rulesets for this match first is Unprotected. This rule removes all armors for every monsters in the battlefield. It also denies any armor buff ability coming from monsters and summoners. This rule makes monsters less durable especially the ones who relies heavily on its armor.

Rise of the Commons

The other ruleset present in this match is Rise of the Commons. This rule only allows common and rare monsters to be used in this battle. It favors players like me who mostly depend on the starter cards available in the game since it only includes common and rare cards from different editions.

My Lineup

Summoner: Delwyn Dragonscale

I used Delwyn Dragonscale as my summoner since I am planning to used magic damaged focused team. It grants the same buff as Obsidian which is +1 magic damage to my team but this summoner allows me to used Dragon element cards in this match.

Monster 1 : Unicorn Mustang

I used Unicorn Mustang in the first position. It is very durable unit with 8 health and also has the void ability which reduces the magic damage it will receive coming from the enemies that deals magic damage. It also has a good combat stats of 3 melee damage and 4 speed.

Monster 2 : Mycelic Slipspawn

I also used Mycelic Slipspawn in this battle to deal good amount of magic damage to enemies as well as to lure them to target this card with its taunt ability. This card would be the first one that will be taken down which allows my other units to survive longer in this battle.

Monster 3 : Regal Peryton

I also used my regal peryton in this match to deal magic damage to enemies. It fits very well with my summoner since it gains the magic damage buff coming from that summoner. The card also has the flying ability which makes this card a bit troublesome to deal with.

Monster 4: Goblin Psychic

I also used my Goblin Psychic in this match to restore some health to my Monster in the first position with its tank heal ability. This card also deals a nice amount of magic damage like Mycelic Slipspawn however it is not durable and can be taken down immediately by the enemies.

Monster 5 : Wood Nymph

I also used another healer that is Wood Nymph. It has the same ability like Goblin Psychic which is tank heal but deals less magic damage to opponents. Having two healers in this match is huge to make sure my frontline would survive the damages it would take from the enemies.

Monster 6: Uloth Dhampir

Lastly I put Uloth Dhampir in the last position. It has the stun ability that disables the target opponent monster to attack when triggered. It deals 3 ranged damage and since it is a ranged type unit it must be placed at the last positions because it cannot deal anymore damage when placed in the first position unless a specific ruleset is present in the match.

ROUND 1

The first round is full of action, my Mycelic Slipspawn absorbs all the damage from my enemies which is why it was taken down immediately in this round. On the other side the opponents' Shieldbearer who has the same ability Mycelic Slipspawn was also taken down after absorbing all the damage coming from my team

ROUND 2

During the second round I was able to take down the opponent's Elven Defender and Luminous Eagle. My Unicorn Mustang barely survives this round after a single missed ranged attack from the Pelacor Arbalest, afterwards it was healed up by Goblin Psychic and Wood Nymph at the end of the round.

ROUND 3

During the third and final round I was able to take down the remaining monsters of the opponent. Uloth Dhampir deals the finishing blow on the Pelacor Arbalest to secure me this huge victory. It was a pretty fast battle for me where I only had one casualty in Mycelic Slipspawn.

Regal Peryton is a good magic damage card that should be collected especially if you like playing magic damage focus team. It fits very well with Obsidian as well as from other earth and dragon summoners like the one I used in this battle which is Delwyn Dragonscale. For this battle I manage to secure the victory with only one casualty in Mycelic Slipspawn because of the good sustain I have with Goblin Psychic and Wood Nymph which makes my Unicorn Mustang survive all throughout the entire battle that allows my other offensive units to deal good amount of damage every round.
