Who Said a Lazy Sunday is no #SublimeSunday?

Yesterday was my second post-covid Sunday. (My first was a crazy one I should definitely write about, hint: It was nowhere near lazy).

This time I decided I should rest, after a crazy week at work during which I was struggling to catch up with what I missed in my ten days of "rest".

What made my Sunday was a Splinterlands tournament I entered and had so much fun playing. I happened to win all my nine games for round 1. The last one of them was against @SGT-Dan (good to see you in the arena 😁)

Did I say that made my Sunday? Nah! That was only one part of the fun. I also entered my battles for my guild's brawl and, so far, I won 6 battles (one of them against a legionnaire) and lost only one.

Next, I started watching stuff. A new Egyptian movie called أصحاب والا أعزّ ( something like "friends or dearer") about a bunch of friends, three couples and a guy, playing a dangerous game. They had to put their cellphones on the table and if anyone of them receives a message, everyone gets to see it and if they receive a call, they put loud-speaker and answer it. You can imagine what happens next (hint: there were fewer couples by the end of the game).

Honestly, I only watched that movie because a friend on Facebook recommended it and to kill the time before the new episode of my favorite anime comes out. The movie ended, I did my Splinterlands daily quest, but the new episode of Attack On Titan didn't come out. Instead, there was a new episode of Deamon Slayer, the only other anime I'm currently watching. So I devoured that one, too.

Only then did the third episode of the last part of the last season come out. I wasn't curious about what will happen next because I already read the manga, but I still wanted to watch the characters moving and talking and to see how much more beauty the studio can add to an already stunning story.

If I didn't convince you, yet, to watch the Anime, maybe this trailer would:

After having my weekly, never satisfying, dose of great entertainment, I had dinner then started watching Tunisia's football (soccer to some people). That wasn't entertaining at first. All the statistics and the circumstances say we will lose. As a team that barely qualified to the second round, Tunisia had little to no hope to beat Nigeria, the scariest of the teams in the tournament. Nigeria was playing against us in Cameroon, its neighbor country, specifically in a city by the border with Nigeria, in front of a scary number of Nigerian supporters. On the field, there were many Nigerian stars who play in the most prestigious European leagues.

On the other hand, Tunisia was suffering from a wave of positive covid cases in the team. Many influential players had to miss the game because of the disease. The coach had to miss it, too, for the same reason.

And yet we won! (shoutout to my Nigerian friends 😁)

I hope they keep playing as good as they did in that match not as bad as they did in the one before it.

What better way to spend the weekend than having enough dose of entertainment.

Funny shout out. 😄
I also heard we lost to Tunisia (hardly watch soccer matches), so congrats to the winning team for playing their best.

Splinterlands

Click above to join in the tournament

It is really cool of @drabs587 to put these tournaments together. I submitted my teams for the latest one. @clove71 has a tournament going on tonight. I think everyone playing Splinterlands can afford 1 DEC which is a fraction of an American penny!

Great battle by the way and congratulations on your win. Check you wallet as I sent you some Splinterlands Battle Tokens.

Have a great week!
