SPLINTERLANDS (A BEGINNER'S JOURNEY)

It's been a while since I've been hearing of Splinterlands and although i joined hive somewhat late last year, ive seen a lot of people sharing their battle strategies and journey here on hive.

So two days ago, I was on my device when it popped into my mind to give it a try. I searched if there was a Splinterlands app on Play store and I was glad there was one cause my laptop has some issues and I've packed it for some months now.

I downloaded the app for mobile and registered. Navigating in the app was quite easy, but i didn't even understand most of what I was seeing (Prior to this, I've not played any games with this kind of setup).

So i just went to YouTube and started watching videos of basic gameplay and how to understand what most of the icons and cards I was seeing meant.

After about seven to eight videos, I had understood enough as a novice. So I decided to go test myself. Scrolling through the app, I discovered that there's something called the Summoner's spell book, and I have to pay for it before i could truely enjoy the game as a ranked member.

I played some Practice games and i believe I've learned alot so far. Still going through the app features I realized i made a mistake when I wanted to pay for the Summoner's spell book and I was directed to use the Online website and I discovered i could use my hive logins to also login on Splinterlands. (totally forgotten it was based on Hive).

So this time around i logged in using my hive login details and so far I've been enjoying learning how to battle and what the different cards can be used for. Played 16 battles so far and won just 6 😂😂.. I think it's an improvement from when I was loosing all my Practice matches and battles.

Looking forward to buying the Summoner's spell book soon so i can start buying some cards ive seen in use but so far i can't find them on the free cards available.
