My First Drawing. Fan-Art of TARSA From Splinterlands Cards.

Hello Friends. How are you?

I've said in my first post in this account that I'm interested in many things and I'll share those with you all. As said, I shared many news, articles, some programming skills that I know of. I hope you liked all of them. Well, I always wanted to do something creative. I guess I get this from my interest in doing something new and creating something new all by myself. I wanted to learn how to draw. But, I never could've done it using a pen, pencil, or brushes. And after a certain period of time and a lot of unsuccessful trying, I stopped drawing or you can say stopped trying. But, recently I learned about this mobile app named "SketchBook". I saw some videos online and practiced myself until I learned to draw. Well, obviously I couldn't become an expert. But I'm still practicing and trying to improve my skill as much as possible. I've been practicing a lot and finally, I've done something that I'd like to share. At first, I didn't even know what is it that I should draw. I was randomly practicing with anything I like. Which obviously wasn't helping. Then I searched in the hive with "art". I was amazed to see how beautiful art can be. Then I noticed some posts have the same topic but the drawings weren't the same. I knew about splinterlands before that. But, I wasn't aware of the contests that they arrange. It was helpful for me in two ways. I found the fixed topic that I wanted to practice on, and sharing my work in these contests would mean that I'll be able to share my work with more people. Also, as a beginner, I probably need to know or learn about many things. In an art contest, there'll be more artists and also people who have the skills to judge my work properly and also can give me some proper suggestions to improve my skills. And as I said, I'm not a professional. I cannot draw things I imagine or draw something which is completely my own work. It's like I know what to draw but I just can't get it out. So, I decided to draw a card of this game named SPLINTERLANDS and share it. It now improves my skills and I'm hoping that soon I'll be able to draw things all by myself.

This is my re-drawing of a card of SPLINTERLANDS which is named TARSA. According to the game, it's called a Fire Summoner. I used the SketchBook app to draw this and now I'll share the steps of my drawing below. Good to mention, this app has the layering system which makes working in it and doing some after edits a lot easier.

At first I choose a pencil and drew the basic structure of the main image. Believe me, this was probably the hardest part for me. That took a lot of erasing and undoing.

Then I choose a slim hard brush to visualize the structure properly. It wasn't tough to do as I was just re-drawing it. But there was a slight problem. As I don't own a tablet and a phone's screen is really small to do these kinds of stuff. It was really irritating to zoom in and work and sometimes because of that drawing large lines were impossible because I had to draw some small line and then connect them. It's because I was working while zooming in on the picture. I'll add some screenshots so that you can understand easily.

Then I started the coloring part. I used the fill option from the app to color it.

To draw the lines in the dress I used a small tip pen and as for the color, there's a random color selection option in the app. This came in help to draw all these colorful lines.
