Hard to say. You need a land and seeds for every season to start with the game. But you wont reach much at the beginning then. By selling them you can earn more CROPS token which you can reinvest into other seeds or land.
So a minimum is one land and one seed for around 4 HIVE.

Yep. Also you may want to consider selling crops here for CROP token since certain ones may be in demand from people doing crafting or cooking recipes. May get more crop on this market than you would from the end of season pool based on shares sold.
