Splinterlands Brawl Report - 11/25/2021 #HivePizza #BrawlReport
Good morning, good evening wherever you may be!
Here is my very first ever #brawlreport as part of the @hive.pizza B team. They call us The Deep Dish.
The strategy for this brawl was real easy. Rent out a sick ass summoner and ride out the rest with ghost cards.
Since, I was part of fray #4, Novice League, Alpha/Beta, I went with PeakRider as my summoner. I made sure to rent this bad boy with less than 24 hrs left in combat. Rental cost was 14.95 DEC/day. Shout out to @trainz for the rental.
This baby is a nasty Alpha/Beta legendary summoner with plus three shield and minus-one range!
Results
There were a total of ten guilds in the fray. Deep Dish came in a solid third place finish.
My strategy of renting out a legendary summnoner and using ghost cards yielded us a 4-4 record in the Alpha/Beta fray.
Battles
Battle 1
This battle was by far my most satifying win as it was against a worthy opponent who was using a gladiator as their tank.
Thankfully my heal, magic void, +2 range, inspire and heavy shield from PeakRider was enough for me to get the win.
Battle 2
This one was a valiant effort as my opponent had a gladiator card and went with the Death splinter, magic spam combo.
Battle 3
This was probably my most annoying loss, as positioning cost me. Also it didn't help that I was very limited as to what cards I could use given I only had a ghost deck, and the mana count for the battle was 12.
Even then if I would of placed cocatrice in 1st position I might of had a chance.
Battle 4
For this one, team Golden Goose saw they were facing Deep Dish. They are lactose intolerant and knew we were coming with EXTRA cheese, so they did the wise thing and fled.
Battle 5
Another very satysfying win as my legendary summoner was too much to handle.
Even though mana count was low and I had no backline to protect Peacbringer, the brute force of Clay Golem and +3 shield was too much for my opponent to handle. As he came with a weak tank and their Peacbringer was limited to 1 range.
Battle 6
This battle was by far the most frustrating.
Rule set was reverse speed. With that said, I went with a heavy reverse speed line up. And it ended costing me.
As my opponent's Silvershield Knight with a plus 4 speed destroyed my line-up. Not one miss!
That's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.
Battle 7
This was also a frustrating loss as speed came into play once again. I had more misses then my opponent even though I had the speed advantage in some.
In the end Silvershield Knight once again was too over powering.
Note to self in super sneak Alpha/Beta battles SilverShield Knight is a beast.
Battle 8
Not sure what happened here as they fled. I guess team fat kid prefers hand tossed.
Conclusion
This was fun. I hope you enjoyed my #brawlreport. My strategy of renting an overpowering summoner yielded me 4 solid wins even though I only used a ghost deck.
With that said, a sick summoner and positioning matter big time in this game!
