Where I am in Splinterlands and Probably Where I'll Stay

avatar

I'm in my third week of Splinterlands. My second season will end in a few days. Although I haven't progressed beyond Silver and am relatively inexperienced I think I can make some assumptions about the game.
I'm not sure how others view the game but I got into it hoping it can be a play-to-earn game along the lines of Axie Infinity where you can make a few dollars a day playing.
From what I've seen even if I get into Silver and earn more dec for each wins, it still wouldn't be a solid amount. It's definitely not enough to make a side income from. I can only see investment after investment being put into the game in hopes of a future profit. But I can't really see any short-term earnings.
So I think that's it for my Splinterland journey. I'll still play every day completing quests and hope I get some legendary GF someday, but I don't think I can earn any meaningful amount of money with the game with what little I have invested into it so far.
I'll probably spend more time blogging on Hive than playing Splinterlands.
I got a potion from today's chest. Today's not the day for that legendary GF, haha.

I hope you stick with the game, I made most of my money in the game not with DEC or SPS but rather with the cards themselves. I use my DEC winnings to buy up cheap gold foil cards, and play for the long game. When prices spike GF cards recover thier prices first. thats when you can take your profits. But you have to play more as an investement rather then daily rewards to cash out.

I wish you luck on your GF !
