Why You Shouldn't Panic During a Bear Market

I'll start by saying that this isn't financial advice but just my personal opinion. It seems everyone says that before or after they talk about these topics. So there we go. Take it with a grain of salt and believe in yourself. Whatever truths you come up with are of much more value than advice, experience, stories, or anything else from anyone else. I'm just writing what I think, my truth.

Everything is crashing, both stocks, and crypto and just about everything else. The price of Bitcoin and Ethereum took a deep dive and every other coin followed.
The first reaction anyone would have is to panic. Suddenly their assets are worth significantly less. The future looks bleak and there is uncertainty. After all, everything was sunshine and rainbow so far, until everything crashed into the ground.

Instinctively, subconsciously we think that this is the end and that there is no coming back from this. We question if the price will bounce back up. How long will it take until the price returns to previous levels? Is there any future left in the market?
All of these thoughts and feelings are natural but you should just let them happen without affecting you.

Don't sell to try and salvage what's left. Selling now is what everyone else is doing. And they're making a huge loss.
Ask yourself if you're comfortable with investing even more money right now.
If you are then buy. Buy when it's cheap. Someday the price will go up and you'd have made a profit. It could be as short as days, weeks, or it could be as long as years. Nobody knows how long it will take for the market to move again. But it will move. And you will have made a profit. It's just that it can take a long time.

People are impatient when it comes to money.
In this field they don't look at the now. The thinking of quick-profit and the mindset of "now" is what most people have, and mostly everyone profit half the time and suffers a loss the other half of the time.

Hold your asset. You can choose to buy now when it's cheap, or not buy if you're not comfortable to invest more. But hold. While everyone else sells and makes a loss you will hold. A year or two from now when the price recovers and soars you will have made a profit and not loss.

The feelings and thoughts you have now of dread and panic at a bearish moment of the market will seem meaningless by then.

The now doesn't matter. The whim of the market doesn't matter. Hold. Master your own financial destiny. Only the time you sell matters. And you can choose when. Sell when it's only of profit to you. And that time will come. It might not come soon and it make take years, but it will come.

In investment you need patience and to look at it from the viewpoint of years. A time-span most people aren't comfortable with when it comes to money.

How much do I make each day? Each month? These questions are answered by salaries and not investments. You need to think long term with investments.
