⚔️⚔️BATTLE MAGE SECRETS⚔️⚔️: ☁️FOG OF WAR☁️

Happy new week to all splinterland lovers, how are you doing I your various endeavors? It is a gentle reminder to all players to want to participate in the recent 'battle mage secrets'. It is another way to earn money.

I would have made this post since yesterday but I was destabilized due to what happened to me; well! I thank Almighty God that it is gone now: I can now make my post.

This morning, when I logged in to my @splinterlands account; there was a message to select fray. Thank God the network of my present location was good. I quickly selected fray 6 which is my favorite fray of all the time. This is because of the ‘bronze league caps’; I love to play bronze league caps because it is very easy for me. I am just praying for the network not to fuck me up because I will soon change my location.

Yesterday, I finished all my energy, which was the reason I stopped playing @splinterlands. When I woke up this morning, I realized that I had 16 energies; and I will leave the energy to gain more before I play today💪💪💪.

☁️Fog Of War is a battle rule that ruled out all opportunity and sneak melee monsters in the battle; what I'm saying in essence is that when there are few melee monsters that can attack when this rule is given- the first monster and monster with reach ability in the second position☁️.
The only position where melee monsters are very active is the first position- when you select melee monster in the first position, it will surely attack in Fog of War rule.
Another place where melee monsters can attack in this battle is the second position; but you have to make sure that the melee monster selected in the second position must have a reach ability. Selecting any melee monster rather than melee monster with reach ability in the second position simply mean that such melee monster will not be active ( such melee monster won’t attack)
The above illustration can only be applied when the 'For of War' rule Is not attach to other rules such as Super sneak and melee mayhem.

But don’t forget that if melee mayhem and super sneak ruleset are attached to Fog of War, the melee mayhem and super sneak will nullify the fog of war rule: this simply means that melee monsters can attack in any position.
Yeah! I have played 'fog of war' with melee mayhem and Super sneak rules many times.

✅✅RULESETS✅✅

-Briar Patch: All monsters have the thorns' ability.

-Fog of War: monsters lose the sneak, snipe and opportunity ability.
In this battle, bringing in monsters with sneak and opportunity abilities was a waste of monsters. This was because such monsters would not attack in this type of battle.
Well! Monsters with snipe ability were available for the selection in this game, but lost snipe ability and that was the reason such monsters attacked in the first position. Initially, monsters with snipe ability are supposed to attack in the middle not in the first position.
My opponent used a ranged monster with snipe ability; but this range monster attacked in the first position because it lost snipe ability.
losing snipe ability in this battle does not mean such monster will not be available for selection.
It was not necessary to use melee monster with reach ability in this battle; this was because of the briar Patch ruleset that gave thorns to all monsters. Using a monster with reach ability in a second position means each time the monster attacks, its health or armor would be damaged. To avoid being killed by thorns, the best solution for me was not to use monster with melee monster with reach ability in second position.

I have a monster to use in the second position; the monster was Tide Biter. The reflection shield of this monster could have prevented the thorn from damaging the health of Tide Biter.
Sometimes I used Tide Biter when the 'mana' was small; I had alternative because 36 mana was given to me in this battle.
Therefore, Tide Biter is very good when given lower mana in battle with this type of rulesets.

Note: there is a summoner I knew that gives all monsters reach ability which is Possibilus the wise. This summoner gives additional 2 health, tramped and reach ability to all friendly monsters. Using this type of summoner is very helpful because it makes one select a strong monster in second position.
There were times I was paired with someone with this summoner, he selected Coastal Sentry as the second position; as we all know that abilities of Coastal Sentry- double strike with four melee attack. As the monster was eliminating my monsters, the trampled ability was also activated.
Henceforth, with the use of a specific summoner, it is possible to use any melee monster in the second position.

✅✅WHY DO I USED ALRIC STORMBRINGER SUMMONER✅✅

Alric Stormbringer was the perfect summoner for me in this battle because I needed the additional magic attack given to monsters with magic attack; and that was the reason I used two magic monsters in this battle.

✅✅MONSTERS SET UP✅✅
⚔️VENARI MARKSRAT⚔️

Splinter: Neutral
Level: 1⭐
Ability: Martyr
All what I wanted was to make my Djinn Oshannus stronger in attack; with the help of the summoner Djin Oshannus had 3 magic; when Venari Marksrat was killed, its magic attack increased to four.
It was the first monster that was eliminated in this battle; and the martyr ability increased its stats of adjacent monster which was Djinn Oshannus.

⚔️DJINN OSHANNUS⚔️

Splinter: Water
Level: 2⭐⭐
Abilities: Void and Phase
I knew that my opponent would come with magic monsters; the two monsters I thought my opponent would come with were magic and ranged monsters.
Therefore, using Djiin Oshannus became my priority because of the void and phase ability. The void reduced the damage from opponent magic monsters; it was possible for magic and ranged attack monsters to missed the attack due to phase ability.

⚔️CAPTAIN GHOST⚔️

Splinter: Water
Level: 3⭐⭐
Ability: affliction
When I was selecting monsters for this battle, one of the questions that came to my mind was that, ‘what if my opponent use monsters tank heal or healing?’
I knew if my opponent used this type of monster, it would be difficult for me to win the battle; therefore, I brought in Captain Ghost to afflict opponent monsters. This was the only way I could think of to bring my opponent down.
When I checked my opponent’s lineup, there were no tank heal or healing monsters.
But the magic attack of Captain Ghost made it easy for me to destroy my opponent’s monsters within a short period of time due to its direct attack.

⚔️MERDAALI GUARDIAN⚔️

Splinter: Water
Level: 2⭐⭐
Ability: Tank Heal
To keep Djinn Oshannus in this battle to the end, it was important for me to bring in Merdaali Guardian to keep given more health to Djinn Oshannus.
Without the help of Merdaali Guardian, Djinn Oshannus wouldn’t have reach the final round of this battle, it would have been eliminated.

⚔️SWAMP SPITTER⚔️

Splinter: Water
Level: 4
Ability: Repair
The range attack was the main deal, this was because I knew that I had 50% probability that my opponent would use Djinn Oshannus. Therefore, damage to three health contributed to the winning of this battle.

I also thought that Swamp Spitter would repair the armor of Djinn Oshannus; unfortunately, Djinn Oshannus did not have armor in this battle.

⚔️WATER ELEMENTAL⚔️

Splinter: Water
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: heal
Since the opportunity and sneak monsters were ruled out; to prevent my opponent from a magic monster with sneak ability such as Coral Wraith from behind, Water Elemental was the only monster that could do that. The healing ability of Water Elemental would have prevented Coral Wraith to eliminated my monsters from behind if my opponent used it.

✅✅DO I LIKE FOG OF WAR RULESET?✅✅
There was no bad rule in splinterlands, all I wanted was dynamism in changing of strategies- knowing the best summoner and monsters to use is the best. Understanding the monsters that shouldn’t be used saves one from defeat, and that was what I did.
I understand the best monsters to use in this battle.

WHY OR WHY NOT?
One of the disadvantages of Fog of war is the losing of opportunity monsters; I love opportunity monsters in battle, if there was an opportunity monsters in this battle, I would have attacked pirate captain which would have made the battle quicker.
