Hello friends and splinterlands warriors? This is another splinterlands battle mage secrets weekly Challenge 🔥. We are to share a battle with explosive weaponry rules. This is to make newbies understand the best strategy when explosive weaponry rule is given in battles.

Click here holy protection, Briar Patch and explosive weaponry rules

Rulesets

Holy Protection: All monsters have the divine shield ability.
When holy protection is activated, the first attack doesn't have an effect on a monster. Just like a day I was given Holy protection in a battle, Spirit Shaman was a monster with the highest speed. It attacked a monster in the first position in the opponent 's lineup. Its magic attack did not have effect on the monster of the first position but its stun ability was activated. It stunned the monster which could not allow the monster to attack.
Therefore, the first attack on a monster with holy protection may not have effect on a health or armor of the monsters but the ability may be effective. That is the reason you could see stun ability activated on the monster in the first position.

Briar Patch; All monsters have the thorns ability.
The moment I saw this rule, there was no need for me to use more melee monsters except Tide Bitter. This is the only monster that Briar Patch could not have an effect on. Without Briar Patch in this battle, I would have used Kulu Mastermind in this battle because of its opportunity ability and long life.

Explosive Weaponry: All monsters have the blast ability.
The thing I did in this battle was to use a reflection shield monster. I knew that my opponent would rather use magic monsters or range monsters. I had 69% that my opponent would use magic monsters because they could attack in any position.

Summoner🐉

Summoner: Alric Stormbringer
Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: All friendly magic attack monsters have +1 magic attack.
The major reason I used Alric Stormbringer in this battle was the +1 magic attack given to all magic monsters. All my monsters were able to have more than 2 magic attacks. If not for the Alric Stormbringer summoner, two of my magic monsters would have ended up having 2 magic but Alric Stormbringer gave them an additional +1 magic attack which made it very easy to eliminate opponent monsters.

The Kraken 🐉

Splinter: Water 💦 💦
Level: 1⭐
Speed: 4🚤🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Taunt
Health: 9❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖🐉
Attack: Melee
Mana: 12
The high numbers of Mana tempted them to use The Kraken. I needed a monster that could hold an opponent's monster for a long period of time. The Kraken was one of the monsters that could do that.
Well! Torhilo The Frozen would have been good but I wasn't sure maybe its health could sustain it to second round.

Tide Bitter🐉

Splinter: Water 💦💦
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 4🚤🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Reach and Reflection 🪞 Shield
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Melee
Mana: 3
It was a good decision to use Tide Bitter because the opponent's monsters in a second position were eliminated in the first round due to explosive weaponry.
Explosive weaponry and Briar Patch could not affect Tide Bitter because of its ability. If not because of reflection shield ability, Tide Bitter would have been destroyed in the first round.
Despite its 4 health, it was able to reach the second round. If The Kraken was not eliminated in the second round, Tide Bitter wouldn't have been eliminated.

Djinn Oshannus

Splinter: Water 💦💦
Level: 2⭐⭐
Speed: 2🚤🚤
Ability: Void and Phase
Health: 12❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 8
I was very sure that Djinn Oshannus would lead the battle. I knew The kraken and Tide Bitter won't last because it was a battle with magic attacks. I understand that the majority of players won't use melee and range monsters. I knew that players would prefer to use magic monsters because of the rules. That was the reason you could see me and my opponent used magic monsters. I wouldn't have used a melee monster in this battle but I knew its ability would not make the rules work against it.

Nerissa Tridawn 🐉

Splinter: Water
Level: 4 ⭐⭐
Speed: 2🚤🚤
Ability: None
Health: 10 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
It is very important to use Nerissa Tridawn in this battle because it was a magic attack battle. 4 magic attacks were very big; Nerissa Tridawn played a major role in winning the battle. It was a big advantage to my line up.
I placed Nerissa Tridawn adjacent to Djinn Oshannus due to her long health. I understood that before blast ability could damage her health to 1, more damage would be done to opponent monsters.
By round 2 when Djinn Oshannus lead the battle and Nerissa Tridawn was in second position, only two health were damaged by blast ability from Nerissa Tridawn.

Venari Wavesmith 🐉

Splinter: Water
Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Protect
Health: 4
Attack: Magic
Mana: 5
I would have used Captain Ghost here but the mana was not enough to accommodate both Captain Ghost and Merdaali Guardian.
The criteria I used to select Venari Wavesmith wasn't its ability, it was the magic attack.

Merdaali Guardian

Splinter: Water 💦💦
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Tank Heal
Health: 3 ❤️❤️❤️
Attack: None
Mana: 3
I needed a monster to heal a monster in the first position. Merdaali Guardian was one of the monsters that could do it. I preferred Merdaali Guardian to Crustacean King due to its health. If it was Crustacean King, The Kraken might have been eliminated in the first round because Crustacean King might not have given time to heal The Kraken’s health.
Merdaali Guardian supported Djinn Oshannus by increasing its health.

Round One

We all know Regal Peryton as one of the monsters with the highest speed in the splinterlands kingdom. This speed was its major advantage over other monsters, especially battles that require high speed monsters.
And we all know that 90% of the rules in splinterlands require monsters with higher speed. This made Regal Peryton one of the most valuable monsters in Splinterlands.
It was Regal Peryton that started the attack; it attacked The Kraken 🐉 and removed the divine shield.
Djinn Oshannus was the second monster to attack in the first round.
In the middle of round 1, the blast ability got Regal Peryton eliminated but was resurrected by a Spirit Druid Grog.
There was no monster that was eliminated in round 1.

Round Two

It was Regal Peryton that was resurrected in the first round and eliminated The Kraken in round 2.
Mycelic Slipspawn and Regal Peryton were eliminated.
By the end of round 2, four monsters were eliminated; two from each line up.
Four were left in each lineup.

Third round

Third round was very fast: two monsters were eliminated from the opponent lineup - Magi of Chaos and Queen Mycelia.

Round Four

The final round was no longer interesting because there was a clear winner. I could see the winner of the battle; not like some battles of which final attack will justify the winner.

In conclusion, a battle like this required a player to use some important summoners such as Alric Stormbringer, Delwyn Dragonscale, Obsidian and Thaddius Brood.
Some of these summoners reduce and increase magic attacks.
Additional of a monster with silence ability to reduce opponent magic attack. I believe if my opponent used a monster with silence ability, it would have been difficult for me to win the battle.
