Hope you are enjoying your weekend with all the goodies? Well! I love to hang out every weekend but this weekend is somehow; I'm not going to hangout this weekend, I'm going to stay indoors.
Thank God, there is a big match coming on Sunday between Chelsea and Manchester City. It is a must watch match.
I want to see Chelsea in a better position in that match but I think it is going to be difficult for Chelsea because they are playing with UEFA best club 2022\2023, and the best club in the premier league.
Looking at the condition of Chelsea right now, there is no way to compare both clubs together. Manchester City is far better than Chelsea right now. Manchester players are quality players; they understand the game better. Manchester City also has the best coach in the world. If Chelsea win the match, it is good for me and I want Chelsea to win the match.

✅✅Let's talk about Target practice rule✅✅
Target practice rule is one of the rules in Splinterlands that needs a strategic plan to win.
The first time I came across target practice rules, I didn't pay attention to the rule, I went ahead to use Venari Wavesmith in the second position, with just two attacks from my opponent, Venari Wavesmith was eliminated. I was astonished because it was too fast to eliminate one of my dependable monsters.
Within 45 seconds, all my monsters were eliminated because it was target practice rule which allows range and magic monster to snipe.
That was what made me start using a monster with taunt ability whenever I'm giving the rule. Using a monster with a taunt ability had helped me to win many target practice battles; that was how I had fun using a taunt monster in target practice battles.
Another monster I love to use is martyr monsters. I love to use a monster with a martyr in the middle. This monster increases the stats of adjacent monsters.

Rulesets

Target Practice: All range and magic attack monsters have the snipe ability.

What Doesn't Kill You: All monsters have the enrage ability.

Keep Your Distance: Monsters with melee attacks may not be used.

Wave Brood

Splinter: Water
Level: 1⭐
Speed: 1
Ability: Taunt and Close range
Health: 12
Attack: Range
Mana: 8
Without Wave Brood in this battle, I was sure that opponent monsters would have sniped my monsters. Therefore, the taunt ability of Wave Brood was to delay opponent's monsters from snipping my monsters. Who knows that they might have sniped important monsters such as Djinn Oshannus.
That was the major reason I used Wave Brood as the first monster to delay; and allowed my monsters to damage opponent's monsters.

Djinn Oshannus

Splinter: Water
Level: 2⭐⭐
Speed: 5
Ability: Void and Phase
Health: 11
Attack: Magic
Mana: 8
One of the important attacks in this type of battle is magic attack. My aim was to attack health directly. If I failed to use magic monsters in this battle; I wouldn't have won the battle. The reason was the summoner that my opponent used gave additional+1 armor to all friendly monsters and he also used a monster with repair ability.
Therefore, attacking health directly was an advantage to my side because I don't need to attack the armor which would have delayed me from eliminating his monsters.

Water Elemental

Splinter: Water
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 5
Ability: Healing
Health: 6
Attack: Range
Mana: 5
I knew by the time Wave Brood would be eliminated; Water Elemental would be the targeted monster because it was the monster that was in the targeted position; and I knew that the healing ability of Water Elemental would be a added advantage.
By the time Wave Brood was eliminated, Water Elemental was the targeted monsters. It wasn't easy to eliminate him because of the healing ability. The healing ability helped the monster to regain certain portions of health which kept the monster for sometime.

Nerissa Tridawn

Splinter: Water
Level: 2⭐⭐
Speed: 2
Ability: None
Health: 10
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
The four magic attacks was the major reason. The four magic attacks was very helpful; damaging the health of most of the opponent's monsters. It also made the battle to be very faster than expected time.

Captain Ghost

Splinter: Water
Level: 3⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 2
Ability: Affliction
Health: 8
Attack: Magic
Mana: 7

Captain Ghost was very important in this battle; without Captain Ghost, I don't think I would be able to eliminate Iziar in this battle. This was because my opponent used two monsters with increasing health ability- Divine Healer and Venari Crystalsmith.
I wouldn't have been able to destroy Iziar. The inclusion of Captain Ghost was very good because it afflicted Iziar; and both monsters with increasing health could not be able to heal Iziar.

Swamp Spitter

Splinter: Water
Level: 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3
Ability: Repair
Health: 5
Armor: 2
Attack: Range
Mana: 7

My thoughts for using swamp spitter was that my opponent would used a sneak monster. When I checked the monsters available for selection in for this battle, I saw that there were many sneak monsters; and the mana that was given was 58 mana.
Therefore, I thought that my opponent would used Sandworm that could destroyed my monsters with just one attack. Hence, I used Swamp Spitter so that it would continue to repair his armor which would made it difficult to eliminate by a sneak monster.

Round one

It was Djinn Oshannus that attacked first in this battle due to 5 speed. Due to Enrage ability, the speed of Iziar was increased to 5 which made Iziar the second monster to attack. Water Elemental that supposed to be the second monster to attack became third: by the time Venari Crystalsmith attack, it healed the health of Iziar.
By the time Captain Ghost attacked, it afflicted Iziar which was the reason it could not be healed again. That was the end of healing Iziar.
By the end of round one, Wave Brood was eliminated. Divine Healer supposed to heal the health of Iziar but Captain Ghost have afflicted it.

Round two

In the beginning of round two, Iziar was eliminated.
Hence, we're left with 5 monsters each. After 3 second Divine Healer was eliminated from opponent lineup.

Round three

In round three, Adelade Brightwing was eliminated. Three monsters were already eliminated from my opponent while only a monster was eliminated from my lineup. At this point, I started to see victory.

Round four

In round four, second monster was eliminated from my lineup, and the monster was Water Elemental.
Before it was eliminated, Venari Crystalsmith was eliminated: after it was eliminated, Prismologist was eliminated.

Round five

In round five, I was left with four monsters- Djinn Oshannus, Nerissa Tridawn, Captain Ghost and Swamp Spitter: while my opponent was left with only Djinn Renova.
Djinn Renova was eliminated.

In conclusion, it is good at times to read battles. I thought that my opponent would used a monster with increasing health ability, that was the reason I used Captain Ghost to afflict the monster in the first position so that such a monster would not be able to heal.
That was the first place I received breakthrough in this battle. If there was no Captain Ghost, there was no way I could have won the battle.
