Did you know this can actually be a good thing?

Usually I see this and grumble. Can't play my favorite game.

There is a little bit of a silver lining though.

Can you guess what that is?

I'll give you a hint. While the servers are down for maintenance no-one is able to play the game. (OK, that may be pretty obvious)

If no-one can play the game then no DEC can be rewarded and the DEC rewarded is based on a daily amount.

Why does this matter?

One day the servers were down for most of the day. They came up for about 15 minutes late in their daily cycle. What were the rewards like during that 15 minutes? AWESOME

Instead of my usual 20-50 DEC per win in Silver 1.... I was averaging well over 300-500 DEC per win!

Another way to think about it. If 24 hours worth of DEC has to be given out in 4 hours (because the servers were down for 20 hours)... then the DEC rewards will be 6x what they would be for those 4 hours!

So, while I hate not being able to play the game and a short server maintenance won't make much of a difference. It is worthwhile to keep on checking back because when they do go up DEC rewards are typically much better.
