Response to : @GREENEYEDWITCH: How can I be useful for the guild before I started to earn dec?

I just got this question from a guild member and maybe other players have the same question. So, here's an answer for any in the position of not being able to donate DEC.

Witch

How can you be useful in the guild if you can't win DEC yet? Simple: Join in the community and lend your voice. Plus: Play the game and enjoy!

In a stepwise approach :

Step 1
Introduce yourself to the guild. Post regularly in guild chat and reply to other members. Be friendly and make it a place people want to be. Having an active guild chat helps the guild keep members and hanging out with friends there is an awesome way to feel like part of a team. But Splinterlands is more than just your guild so...

Step 2
Introduce yourself to the Splintertalk community. Lots of awesome people here with lots of great ideas on the game. Lots of helpful advice for new and old players alike. Also a great place to grumble after you lost a few too many fights, or have to fight Yodin a few times in a row.

Step 3
Play the game and complete those quests. Quests completed do help the guild to a point so make sure you get those daily chests. Two other reasons to get those chests: a) They could be valuable and b) it gives you something to talk about on Splintertalk :)

Step 4
Once you get some SPT coming in from those regular posts on Splintertalk make sure that you STAKE those SPT. Staking the SPT will make your vote valuable both to yourself and others when you upvote their content. Of course if you upvote your Guild Members posts then its good for you, the poster, and the guild--triple win, horray!

Step 5
Ask for help from your guild to learn and to get rewards and give back accordingly. Asking the guild please help me, I'm new is just annoying. However, asking Could someone delegate enough CP for me to get a better season end reward and I'll split the profits is specific, short term, and both you and the donator will benefit which is a much better request.

Step 6
Keep on looking for good prospective guild mates. Invite friends to play the game and meet your online friends. Find a solo player and get them involved with the team.

Getting more players in your guild who are having fun and contributing makes things better for everyone.

Making solo players feel like part of something fun by including them also a big positive for player retention.

Final Step

Have fun, be friendly, and enjoy the game. The more happy players in the game the more people we will attract :)

Just my thoughts.

Happy hunting everyone.

Thanks for reading the post :) And your reply will be worth a tiny portion of SPT coin. Keep posting, commenting and upvoting and you'll have a little stash of coins in no time. Just don't go overboard or you'll run out of resource credits (a post for another day ) 😁
