Splinterlands free to play blog -- Day #2: No resource credits ..find a bitfaucet!

If you followed my Day #1 instructions you are now the happy owner of a Hive account where you can login to Splinterlands and Splintertalk. You can post messages, you can play ranked games, and soon after you do either you'll find that nothing works!

Introduction to Resource Credits

The reason is resource credits! Hive has a cool anti-spam mechanism. You only get so many resource credits daily. If you put in no money you get about one post every four days. That really puts a slow down on making money to fund Splinterlands from writing a blog!

As you can see I had 2.56% resource credits left after one game and one post.

What are the options to keep posting?

1. Wait 4 days until I have enough Resource credits to post again (yuck)
2. Add money (Hive) to my account and power it up (not free to play option)
3. Get free money. Great but who gives out free money?
4. Get free resource power. Also great but resource power is money so not typically free.

But actually you can get some free Hive/Hive power and you can ask nicely for resource credits. There is a wonderful little bitfaucet : https://giftgiver.site/

Okay. You only get half a cent an hour which isn't much... but it will eventually add up. You can also request resource credits for a limited time. Again not much but at least its enough to get another post out!
