What is Hive DRIP coin?

DRIP is a crypto-coin on the HIVE blockchain that invests into GameFI projects, which are projects that combine gaming with blockchain technology. We believe this will be one of the top growth areas in all of crypto over the next 5-10 years.

Recap

We saw some extreme increases in the value of our treasury, a lot due to a run in SPS prices that brought our treasury from $56k+ to over $82k at the end of December. Since that time HIVE has dropped in price from $0.374 to $.300 at time of writing. In addition after SPS made a quick double from our cost basis , we took some profits and now it's come back down to around $0.022 from over $0.035. Our current treasury is valued at $68,228. This is less than the drop in Hive or SPS due to our diversification. We now have over 420 stakers; up from 391 stakers of DRIP last month.

In addition we increased our daily swap.hive payouts again and we plan for another increase in March. This is 7 straight increases in 7 months.

We've reduced our exposure (mainly due to decreased SPS prices ) in Splinterlands from 47% to 40%. When SPS crossed $.025 we were sellers of our liquid SPS & Vouchers but still stacking all SPS LICENSE rewards that came staked. Currently we're only selling vouchers and would be willing to cautiously increase our SPS position to 500,000. Our staked SPS position has increased to over 430,000 from around 410,000 mostly due to LICENSE rewards. We had sold down several of our LICENSE's when prices in HIVE spiked and since bought back 1 of those for a cheaper price. We are comfortable to stay around 20 SPS node LICENSE's.

Our investment in the coin MEGA from the game Mega World on the BNB chain has increased in value. In fact, they are launching a whole marketing campaign soon which should see a huge boon to the game. We're holding 110,000 MEGA on our books at around a basis of $.065 with current market prices a little higher than this. The game has been in development since 2018 and is about to have a public launch this year. We're very bullish here.

We continue holding over 20,000 FLUX that's earning rewards from running their top-tier Stratus node. This is a project we really believe. They are pioneering the PoUW concept and have lots of affordable decentralized cloud-computing options for businesses. In fact our website is hosted with FLUX.

Boomland - Hunters on Chain (Polygon/ImmutableX) - https://boomland.io/

We purchased Genesis chests months ago for this game during a pre-sale. We were waiting for a promised rental market to decide if we were going to sell the chests or open them to use the hunters. The rental market went live recently so we decided to open the chests and it's been a good decision. Our initial investment in chests have doubled in value with the hunters we received. In addition we've picked up now over 25 hunters that we're renting on their rental market from 3-30 days at an average ROI around 40% with some hunters earnings over 100%. As they are leveled up I hope to increase our average returns here.

Other Investments

We're still holding over 35,000 in Swap.Hive/HIVE. Some liquid and some in HP. In addition we hold quite a few other coins on hive-engine from different projects including PIMP, BRO, LGN, SIM as well as other coins like WAX.

We have smaller investements into games on other chains including Parallel. Parallel is a TCG in a vast sci-fi universe with five factions battling for home. It is on the Base chain by Coinbase. We participated in a game not yet released on ETH and hold some of their coin, it's a web3 roguelike RPG coming this year.

We have our eyes on many other projects.

A Pirate Saga

I'd like to mention a new game still in pre-alpha. From the founder of DRIP, a pirate-themed NFT game that can be played right from DRIP's discord (link at bottom). The game is live and In fact, we're now on 4 discord servers and growing. We've barely gotten started. We're currently working on our marketplace where you'll be able to purchase packs, buy/sell NFT's and our ingame marketplace where you can trade materials. We're already minting NFT's on chain. Have a look at our first common card, Oscar Foul. ARRRGH

Looking Ahead

We plan to continue diversifying across chains while mainly concentrating our focus on web3 gaming per our whitepaper. We will continue to seek out more Gamefi investments that have a high likelihood of success.

If you have fiat, cheaper HIVE means cheaper DRIP, it's a great time to buy some! Buy, stake and collect higher payments every single day. We will continue payout out a portion of our earnings while using the rest to grow and compound this over time.

Our 149% APY in first year staking rewards ends at the end of June. While we do plan to continue staking rewards, they will be reduced so it will be harder to get DRIP. We also plan to open a liquidity pool but haven't decided on rewards yet. We've had a lot of buying and are ahead of our initial projections. 2024 is our first full year and I have a feeling it will be great! Keep DRIPing!

Daily Payout

We pay out Swap.Hive every single day at 12:30 AM UTC and plan to increase the payout per DRIP coin held each month! We also reward .25% of staked DRIP daily at this time as well.

Staking Rewards

You'll receive exactly .25% of your staked DRIP tokens rewarded daily in liquid DRIP coins. This is a 149% APY. Coins paid out are liquid so you'll need to stake them daily in order to keep compounding your rewards.

Ex. - If you started with 1000 DRIP staked, you'll receive 2.5 coins the first day of staking rewards. If you then restake those coins, you'd earn 2.50625 additional DRIP the next day. If you did this each day for a year without ever purchasing more coins you'd have 2487.71 DRIP coins. Since the Swap.Hive payout is per coin and we plan to increase the payout slightly each month you'd be receiving more than 2.5 times your current Hive payout. The power of compounding is huge so don't forget to restake!
