Take advantage of the new rewards system in Splinterlands before it is too late!

The Change

In Splinterlands the reward system has changed and so has the gameplay. No more do people just play the minimum number of games to maintain their ranking. No more do people play their daily quest and walk away not to be seen again. The system has changed and for the better.

Gone are the days of 5 - 20 reward chests for the average player at the end of the season and 50+ for the most established card holders.

Account 1 (Main Account):

The power here is my owned CP. I am allowing the ECR to recharge currently on this account.

Account 2 (Secondary Account):

Today I have been powering through the rewards on this account. 20 Daily chests is the equivalent of 15-20 days effort on this account prior to the changes.

Now players are more actively renting throughout the season as the rewards are there for all to take their share. Cards are beginning to have greater value and people are starting to hold onto them as the card power is really starting to matter.

A number of players have begun to start their accounts in Bronze and power their way up through the ratings to gather an incredible number of chests. Whilst I have yet to pull anything incredible from the rewards, I have added some significant new cards to my collection helping me to level them up along the way.

Daily Focus

The daily focus system pushes you into using different options and whilst you might get lucky and get your preferred deck twice in a row, other times you get a deck you are not so strong with and end up trying something new out. But to me one of the biggest benefits of this is the opportunity to experience a wider selection of cards than I'd usually play. Just today in around 1 hour of play (or thereabout) I am up to 15 daily chests. Compare that with the previous 1 or 2 in Bronze/ Silver and we are talking a big change. All of this with cards I'd typical not use. Such as my new favourite below.

New Favourite Card:

The Revealer is a new addition to the Splinterlands game and I am noticing just how powerful a stun is in bronze and silver. It is a game changing ability and I expect to see a card like that increase in value over time.

Final Thoughts

As a small account, this update has me playing the game more and enjoying the grind as it is purposeful and rewarding.
