Hello everyone, here is my entry to this week's Splinterlands Battle Challenge - Supply Runner.

Here is the link to the game if you prefer to watch it on your own.

My general strategy going into the game was to do a speed play with Quix and Supply Runner, and to pull out as many return fire monsters that I can and see how it goes.

Here is the star of the show, I have him at level 5 for that sweet speed buff

This is the ruleset for the match, and seeing its no melee allowed, I am mostly expecting a ranged play or with a lower frequency a magic play so I got to prepare for both scenarios.

My main focus is countering a ranged play and going for speed so for a summoner Quix the Devious is a perfect fit.

I have him at level 2 and am planning to level him up, because he is just amazing.

Here we go with the line up for the game, since it's no melee and we can't use a traditional tank, I pair up Quix with the Death splinter to pull out Riftwing as our main tank:

I have him at level 5 for that awesome backfire ability. In my opinion this card is a must for everyone that plans to play higher leagues, it is just amazing and is playable even in little league!

Second position is our backup tank in case the opponent throws out a magic play:

Got him at level 1 only but he does the job when it comes to absorbing some magic damage.

Next up I put the Naga Assassin, she serves the purpose if both our tanks die to maybe win us some time by dodging and do some damage with backfire if possible ofcourse.

Got her at level 4 for that backfire.

Next up is our main damage dealer, the beast of the dragon splinter - the Chaos Dragon

I got gim at level 2 for that blast damage. Even though he is so much mana and it is not that high of a mana match I pick him, because generally speaking both magic and ranged monsters have lower health pools, and with the scattershot paired with blast damage he can literally 1 shot sometimes 2 opponent monsters at once! This is a staple card for the dragon splinter, even more now with the constant increase in the mana cap of the games.

Next up of course is the star of the show - the Supply Runner:

As I already mentioned - level 5 for the speed buff.

Lastly with the remaining 3 mana I go with the Souls Strangler:

Got him level 3 for that extra damage, 3 mana 3 damage what more can you ask of it!

On to the game we go!

Round 1

R1.png
We face the worst case scenario - a magic play, good that we planned for it! We managed to muster just enough damage to kill the Splipspawn before he was able to get a heal or attack, which is just great, our main tank goes down and now the Void Dragon is up to do his thing!

Round 2

R2.png
Our Chaos Dragon lands a blow on the Khmer Princess and she goes down, leaving the Elven Mystic nect to her down to 1 HP, The Void dragon absorbs all the damage for the round and goes down.

Round 3

R3.png

Chaos Dragon lands a hit on the Venari Spellsmith killing both him and the Elven Mystic, and leaving the Goblin Psychic with 1 HP, Regal Peryton goes down to the Soul Strangler's hit. The Goblin Psychic falls to first position and heals himself.

Round 4

R4.png
Supply Runner gets to hit and Chaos Dragon seals the deal.

Here are the game results:

I really enjoyed how that worked out, feel free to try it yourself, this strategy works even better when facing ranged attackers, because of their general low speed and with the nerf from Quix on both their speed and damage it is devastating. I hope that you enjoyed my breakdown of the game.

Thank you for taking the time our of your day to check out my post, have an amazing day!

Dear @holycowz, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

Your support would be really helpful and you could make a difference.
Thank you!
