Weekly BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Challenge with Holy Protection

I always like this Holy Protection ruleset as in this ruleset all units gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0. Divine Shield will be re-applied when a unit is Resurrected. Blast damage will remove Divine Shield. So I look into my card collection of different tribes and felt that in earth tribe I have some strong monsters cards. So for this battle I chose my earth team. In this battle I chose strong taunt monster card and also chose strong magic attack monster cards at my back end so it could eliminate enemy's tank card quickly.


Rulset: Holy Protection

All units gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0. Divine Shield will be re-applied when a unit is Resurrected. Blast damage will remove Divine Shield.

Keep Your Distance - Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.



Back to Basics - Monsters lose all abilities.

The Strategy

In this battle challenge my strategy is very simple as I chose lot of magic attack monsters at back end and try to fill my tank slot with some high health filler cards. As in this battle cards not have any special ability so my options not perform as I thought. In this battle no malee attack monsters include so for this battle my options were limited. So, I check my card collection and chose earth team for this battle. As I think that in my earth team I have some balance monsters cards combinations. So firstly I must choose a summoner which helps to increase my cards states so I chose earth summoner LOBB LOWLAND as this summoner reduce enemy speed and also pick one extra gladiator card. So for this Holy Protection ruleset it is a best choice. My enemy brought fire monster Tarsa which increase 1 malee attack and 1 health of all enemy monsters card so this battle was earth vs fire summoners.

As I was using earth summoner so I checked my earth monsters cards and chose some high attack magic monsters card. As this battle was low mana 24 so my options to chose monsters cards were limited.


In this battle for tank position my best choice was FAILED SUMMONER No attack and 4 health with Divine Shield ability. On 2nd position I used CHAOS AGENT No attack and 1 health a filler card. On 3rd position I used CREEPING OOZE No attack and 2 health another filler card. On 4th position I used REGAL PERYTON 1 magic attack and 6 health with Divine Shield ability. On 5th and last position I used MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN 2 magic attack and 10 health with taunt ability. So in this battle my all hopes lied on my taunt ability monster card MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN. I hoped that my this monster would eliminate enemy tank card quickly. I also hoped that my cards would not miss any attack and my enemy would not have any healer card. So we discuss our today's battle lineup one by one in next section.

The Summoner


In this battle I used LOBB LOWLAND RARE Earth Summoner as it reduce 1 speed of all enemy monsters. This summoner is helpful in all ruleset and works well if we have gladiator cards.

1st Slot - Tank Monster


In this battle I used FAILED SUMMONER COMMON Earth Unit with no attack, 4 health and 2 speed. This card is level 1 and also have Divine Shield ability.

2nd Slot - Filler Card


On 2nd position I used CHAOS AGENT COMMON Neutral Unit with no malee attack, 1 health and 2 speed. This card is a filler card just fill the spot and hope waste few enemy attacks.

3rd Slot - 2nd filler Monster

On 3rd position I used CREEPING OOZE COMMON Neutral Unit with no attack, 2 health and 1 speed. This card is also a filler card.

4th Slot - Magic Attack Monster


On 4th position I used REGAL PERYTON RARE Earth Unit with 1 magic attack, 6 health and 5 speed. This card's high speed is very helpful if my enemy brought ranged attack monsters in this battle.

5th Slot - Magic Attack Monster

On 5th position I used MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN RARE Earth Unit with 2 magic attack, 10 health and 2 speed. This card is very helpful with taunt ability so all enemy cards attack this card and other cards eliminate enemy cards quickly.

THE BATTLE

I think that I brought best team in this battle but my opponent also brought a compact but balanced team with better choice of cards. My enemy brought some strong ranged attack monsters and also brought high health tank card with magic attack.

In round one I lost my tank card and my enemy cards stay strong and perform well.

In 2nd round I lost another card and my enemy stay strong with no card loss.

In 3rd round both teams stay strong and in 5th round finnly I eliminate my enemy tank card but I also lost another magic attack monster.

So in next rounds Divine Shield play crucial rule as because of this I wasted many attacks and enemy damage my last card heavily.

So in last and 8th round my enemy won this battle thanks to Divine Shield ability.

Conclusion

I think that I brought a perfect team combination but my magic attack team not performed well and my enemy ranged attack team won this battle easily. My enemy also brought a high health magic attack tank card which was the difference in this battle. So this was a one sided match and I lost this battle in 8th round.
