Rising Star Progress - More rare cards, but prices are still elevated - and a few more referrals

Rising Star is still my favourite game at the moment - I cant get enough of it. The card collecting side of things really appeals to me, and the community around the game is excellent.

For those that are not aware, Rising Star is a free play2earn game on Hive which is based on building a music career. You collect cards to improve you career and band, and undertake missions (gigs, etc) to gain rewards - whats not to like !

Although I was on vacation last week, I still managed to play the game a lot, setting longer missions than usual while I was away doing things with the family.

I was also pretty lucky to land a decent giveaway of starbits last week, which really helped when I went to buy some cards. In the last week I bought the following cards:

For me this is OK. I bought 5 x rares during the week, which is my focus for now. I want to be averaging one a day, so getting close to that now. I'm happy to have increased my fan count by 540 in the week, which was around a 20% increase !

I think the prices of cards are still a bit high - as can be seen the best price I've paid for a rare is 6,000, when around 4 weeks ago it was possible to get them at the 5,000 mark. So its not only energy prices that are suffering inflation !

RR128 Luthien was a new card for me (bought it yesterday). Its always nice to get some new unique cards.

My referral count also went up by 1 or 2 people which is good. It brings in some extra starbits which is nice for me, and bringing in new people is good for the community.

I also managed to cash out 4,400 starbits through the week. I think it used them to buy Utopis - as I've been building up my holding of those in order to stake them as I think its a nice wee project. I think this is one of the great things about Rising Star game - it can also be used as a genuine income stream to fund other hive investments.

So overall a decent week considering I was on vacation for most of it !

Plans for the coming week or two:

• Keep buying rares to increase my fans to get better starbit rewards. Hopefully I'll be averaging my one a day target soon,
• I probably do need one more slice of pizza (currently got 5) to help with the days where my in game pizza drops are low,
• I'll continue to withdraw a small amount of starbits now and again when prices suit to fund other projects - my main focuses currently being Utopis, Brocoin and DEC/SPT/SPS.
