Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and Midnight Letters community! My post today will cover our last brawl. Pizza A Slice of Madness had a better brawl compared to last week. We ranked in fifth place this time. The brawl is also my best performance contributing seven wins.

Overall Guild Rank: Fifth Place

Our ranking improved from last week. We reached in fifth place this time with 78 wins and 30 loses and took 54 Crowns prize. This is a good improvement from our last week's seventh place finish.

Personal Brawl Performance and Selected Games
My personal brawl performance has also improved. I tied in 4th-8th place in our guild in terms of contribution to the brawl. We all scored seven wins and two losses.

Battle 1

The game had Up Close and Personal ruleset. Only melee units can be used including those with dual attack. I used Quora in the first position. She has a big advantage in this rule. She has two attacks of two melee and two magic, eleven life and three speed. She has self healing skill, surely a big advantage. Behind I put Mad Gearhead. His Reach skill allow him to attack from that position. Next is Vengeful Monk and Vicious Quilliun, both have Opportunity skill. Last is Dread Tafarian.
My opponent had Fire element. Frankarsgard and Chaos Furybringer are both good units and the "meta" if you use the Fire element. The gladiator card is legendary unit. Fina Voxom has three attack and Opportunity skill. Next is Great Bear Druid then New Beluroc Aegis.
The opponent's gladiator Fina actived her bloodlust skill. She did the first kill between the gladiators. My Quora is steadier, keeping her health intact with healing. Next, Quora got her kills and activated her bloodlust too. With two attacks and bloodlust, her advantage is greater than Fina who she defeated.

Battle 2

Next battle I had Water element. It had Collateral Damage ruleset so I placed non attackers between my attacking units. First position was Spitting Camel, he will not attack but just take damage. Next was my gladiator, Isgald Vorst, attack with 2 melee. Third was another non attacker then last my highest attacker, level two Mystic Scaleweaver.
My opponent wanted to use a magic team. Non attacker tank then followed by all three magic units. His gladiator card is a legendary one. It has a blast skill that splashes attacks to adjacent units. He doesn't have a Mystic Scaleweaver in his army, he had the epic Saltwater Mage.
The fight was close. I only had two attackers but the Reckless ability made the fight complicated. Adjacent units get hit each time our units attack that adds to the damage received. My opponent's gladiator was strong. Her blast skill doing a lot of damage. It was close in the end which my advantage in speed made my unit attack first and eliminated my opponent's unit.

Spending the Rewards
I bought two gladiator packs with my merits and I was lucky to get one epic card.

Gorth is the new addition to my epic card collection. He is a fire element card with five attacks and twelve life. He will be a good tank in the fire department.

Conclusion
We earned 3000 Merits and 29 SPS from the brawl. I'm grateful to guild for accepting me as a member and gave me the opportunity to join the brawls and earn guild rewards. I try to contribute by doing my part and making my cards stronger for future brawls. I recently bought Mystic Scaleweaver to make it level two. Next I will buy more cards and upgrade them.
