Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: 4th Place!

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.

Overall Guild Rank: Fourth Place

We dropped from our regular 1st-3rd place ranking to fourth place this week. We had eighty seven wins with a slim margin over fifth place guild Skull Fragments who had eighty four wins. Third place enjoyed a big lead over us with ninety five wins.

Top Brawl Participants

I joined the group in fourth to seventh place in our guild's top brawl participants. We had a seven - one record this week.

Selected Games
Here I present two of the games that I won.
Game 1

The first game had a burning modifier. Here I decided to use the Death element because they decrease the opponent's health. With decreased health, they won't be able to resist the burning effect for long. I had my new legendary card, Xulax Nightwind. He is a tank with skills against magic units. He blocks magic attacks with his shield because he has a Void Armor skill. My opponent also had a legendary gladiator card but his magic attacks were defended by Xulax. Also my strategy worked because his reduced health led him to succumb to the burning effect.

Game 2

Game 2 was won through sheer luck. My opponent and I both had the same units and same positioning. His Katrelba was higher level than mine but my Spellmonger was higher than his. It didn't have an effect on the game because they both died the same. It was a battle of the frontline that made the difference. My units attacked faster and killed his Lion first. That made all the difference and it was downhill for him when he lost his tank.

Spending the Rewards

I bought two packs and got the usual four commons and one rare in each pack. Nothing to see here, better luck next week.

Conclusion
We earned 4,056 merits and 33 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
