Icyflows Unlocking Soulbound Reward Cards Proposal
Simply I propose we only make soulbound reward cards unlockable if you own a max copy of that particular card and foil.
What does this mean?
If I own a max copy of a card I can sell my extras of that particular card and foil.
If I were to sell my max copy I would no longer be able to sell those cards.
What if I don't have a max copy? Will I be able to sell my cards?
Yes. But you will need to buy extra copies from the market to level up one max copy card and sell your extras or the card you just maxed.
Or buy a max copy from the market to sell your current cards.
What is the cost?
There is no new cost. But require that any cards to be sold have been unlocked for land at the 2x burn value with a voucher discount.
If I have a maxed regular foil can I sell my gold foils?
No. You would need to have a maxed gold foil to sell gold foils.
This will help preserve the value and rarity of gold foils.
Why would this be better then other ideas for unlocking that have been proposed?
This will require the investment of time or money to obtain a max copy while keeping the Dec burn cost reasonable. Over time as more cards become unlocked the cost of a max copy will become more affordable to everyone allowing more people to unlock their cards. As well as the single bcx will come down in price over time making them accessible to new players.
This is also a top down approach to unlocking the cards. Higher league players who have invested the most money in the game will unlock their cards first and sell to lower league players as it should be.

that would mean i would always have to own 2 versions regular and goldfoil. that's pretty crappy and above all superfluous, because there are so few max cards that even if i only need one version on max e.g. i have one max regular and then i could sell all goldfoil and all additional regular. then there would still be extremely few cards on the market
It does not mean that. You can own whatever version you want but to unlock a card you should have it maxed. For example. If you have a max swamp spitter you wont be able to unlock your GF swamp spitter unless you max your own GF swamp spitter.
If you dont have max cards to unlock that just means you have to play more and earn more to achieve that goal.-
When I heard you wanted to do your own proposal I thought "thats lame he must be mad about something" but honestly what you are proposing its exactly what I said day 1 of the release of Soulbound reward cards.
Its the only way to really deal with bot farms and at the same time reward top players.
This is probable the best idea about SB reward cards out there currently.
I fully support it.
Theres a harder version of idea this that reads "you could only unsoulbound a card if it is maxed" but that will piss a lot of people off.
