How I Spent $1000 to get into GOLD LEVEL IN SPLINTERLANDS

I have been playing at Mid to low silver with about 38K owned power for about a month now and felt as if I was ready to take a step forward investment and gameplay-wise into Splinterlands. I spent a decent amount of time looking into ways I could do this in a way where I would also potentially get a good ROI on my cards.

My 2 favorite splinters were life and water. Life actually had my biggest win rate in Silver, especially at high mana. Looking into bringing both decks up to Gold level, the water deck would have been about 50% more expensive and I wanted to still ensure that my $1000 budget got me enough CP to make it into Gold.

With that in mind, I went for the two cheapest splinters to invest in, which are Sloan and Thaddius, leveling both up to 6 and also finishing my lvl 3 tarsa (to play lvl 2 Grum) and picked up a lvl 2 Quix.

With the remainding money I put towards Gold foil (mostly reward) cards with thereasoning that these card grow CP, grant DEC Bonus and I believe they will appreciate most over time.

After just a day of playing these decks allowed me to blow through the start of GOLD and I rarely saw a loss until around 2500 CP when I started seeing better rounded, and higher level decks.

Wow! Congrats! This is quite a big step. I am around that point you have been before that big investment.
I am following kind of a similar strategy, except I do not have $1000 to invest in the game right now. But Sloan and Thaddius Brood are the summoners I am also focusing on.

Have a wonderful day!

Cheers,

It's a good time to invest while the game rebalances after the chaos drop.

Now you can play properly and build a more rounded deck yourself over time.

Wow, $1000 is a huge investment and commitment to the game. I think the timing is good because crypto is overall down and you could get some cards cheaper as usual. Just guessing... I didn't prove it.

Well done! Putting that much of an investment in is a big decision and I hope the gold leagues crumble before you! Smart decision to split 2 splinters rather than just roll with your favorite even though its more expensive!
