This week might not be my Splinterlands week, I have to share with you here today some reflections I've had with Splinterlands. It seems like this week I've been suffering from amnesia, I forgot to renew the cards to play, forgot to share some posts I had left in draft, even forgot to acquire some airdrops that were marked on my calendar.

Thinking about all this, I could ask myself if Splinterlands is not suitable for new players? Referring to cards distributed "for free" or standard collections.

🔥 But why is that IFHY?

I'll be honest, without any interesting rented cards, I've been losing more battles than I'd like to admit, strangely I've been selling my collections so far, this makes me have little power in hand, making it seem like I'm stuck in an endless sequence of defeats, and that's starting to get to me. Sometimes I find myself thinking: am I playing wrong? Or is it simply that I don't have the right cards to compete?

🔥 Sequence of defeats

Check out this sequence this morning:

I think a part of me wants to blame my initial cards for my constant defeats. Sure, I don't have those super rare and powerful cards that I see other players using, and sometimes it feels like I'm fighting a lost battle from the start, just because of the lack of cool cards. And, hey, I'm not saying I expected to start with a professional-level deck, but a little luck in my initial cards wouldn't hurt anyone, right? But then comes the little voice inside poking me: "Hey, what if the problem isn't the cards, but how you're playing?" Ah, that voice can be so annoying sometimes. But you know what? Maybe it has a point.

Take for example this composition that I used against a Silver rank player:

If we compare the level of cards x cards, it's almost irrelevant that he has a certain advantage with some monsters, however, we can see my bad choice in using a Tank that should be the deflect of attacks, I should have used the same as him. And then, of course, there's the issue of the game rules and how they change depending on the type of battle I'm facing. This adds an extra layer of complexity that sometimes leaves me completely confused and a little frustrated, I think it's part of the charm of Splinterlands, but it can also be a source of frustration when you're trying to level up and you come across a new rule that turns your strategy upside down.

Well, I don't blame anyone for this but me, I could research about the new ones by accessing any weekly posts here, right?

So, what to do when you're stuck in an apparently endless sequence of defeats? Well, I'm no Splinterlands guru, but here are some things I've been trying. First, I'm trying to stay calm, it's easy to get frustrated and give up when things aren't going the way you want, as if life were easy. But I know I won't improve if I don't keep trying.

I'm following many battles of important players in the game, I would recommend you to also take some time to read some Weekly Battle Challenges. Sometimes it's hard to realize my own mistakes during the heat of the moment, but watching battles of other players gives me a more objective perspective on what went wrong and how I can improve.

Maybe I don't intend to try to get some important cards missing only 5 days and leave this time without fighting, or I could say only 4, due to the time of my country.

So, that's it, folks. Those are my reflections on my recent series of defeats in Splinterlands. Maybe I'm playing wrong, maybe I need better cards, or maybe it's just a bad phase. Anyway, I'm determined to keep improving and, as I mentioned in the previous post, tournaments are being more rewarding for me.

Essa semana talvez não seja a minha para jogar Splinterlands, tenho que compartilhar com vocês aqui hoje algumas reflexões que eu tive com Splinterlands. Parece que essa semana eu estive com amnésia, esqueci de renovar as cartas para jogar, esqueci de compartilhar algumas postagens que tinha deixado em rascunho, esqueci até mesmo de adquirir alguns airdrops que estavam marcados no meu calendário.

Pensando em tudo isso, eu poderia me perguntar a mim mesmo se Splinterlands não serve para novos jogadores? Me referindo a cartas distribuídas de forma "gratuita" ou coleções standard.

🔥 Mas por que isso IFHY?

Vou ser honesto, sem nenhuma carta interessante alugada, tenho perdido mais batalhas do que gostaria de admitir, estranhamente eu tenho vendido minhas coleções até o momento, isso faz com que eu tenha pouco poder em mãos, fazendo como se eu estivesse preso em uma sequência interminável de derrotas, e isso está começando a mexer comigo. Às vezes me pego pensando: será que estou jogando errado? Ou será que simplesmente não tenho as cartas certas para competir?

🔥 Sequencia de derrotas

Veja essa sequencia essa manhã:

Acho que uma parte de mim quer culpar minhas cartas iniciais por minhas derrotas constantes. Claro, eu não tenho aquelas cartas super raras e poderosas que vejo outros jogadores usando e ás vezes, parece que estou lutando uma batalha perdida desde o início, só por causa da falta de cartas legais. E, ei, não estou dizendo que eu esperava começar com um baralho de nível profissional, mas um pouquinho de sorte nas minhas cartas iniciais não faria mal a ninguém, né? Mas aí vem a vozinha interior me cutucar: "Ei, e se o problema não forem as cartas, mas sim a forma como você está jogando?". Ah, essa voz pode ser tão irritante às vezes. Mas, sabe de uma coisa? Talvez ela tenha um ponto.

Veja um exemplo essa composição que eu utilizei contra um jogador de ranking Prata:

Se formos comparar o nível de cartas x cartas, é quase irrelevante que ele contém uma certa vantagem com alguns monstros, no entanto, podemos ver minha má escolha em utilizar um Tanque que deveria ser o desvio de ataques, eu deveria ter utilizado o mesmo que ele. E aí, claro, há a questão das regras do jogo e como elas mudam dependendo do tipo de batalha que estou enfrentando. Isso adiciona uma camada extra de complexidade que, às vezes, me deixa completamente confuso e um pouco frustrado, acho que é parte do charme do Splinterlands, mas também pode ser uma fonte de frustração quando você está tentando subir de nível e se depara com uma nova regra que vira sua estratégia de cabeça para baixo.

Bom eu não culpo ninguém por isso além de mim, eu poderia pesquisar sobre as novas acessando qualquer postagem semanal aqui não é mesmo?

Então, o que fazer quando você está preso em uma sequência de derrotas aparentemente interminável? Bem, eu não sou nenhum guru do Splinterlands, mas aqui estão algumas coisas que tenho tentado. Primeiro, estou tentando manter a calma, é fácil ficar frustrado e desistir quando as coisas não estão indo do jeito que você quer, como se na vida isso fosse fácil. Mas eu sei que não vou melhorar se não continuar tentando.

Estou acompanhando muitas batalhas de jogadores importantes no jogo, eu recomendaria que vocês também desse um tempo para ler alguns Desafios de Batalhas Semanais. Às vezes, é difícil perceber meus próprios erros durante o calor do momento, mas assistir às batalhas de outros jogadores me dá uma perspectiva mais objetiva sobre o que deu errado e como posso melhorar.

Talvez eu não pretenda tentar obter algumas cartas importantes faltando apenas 5 dias e deixe esse tempo sem batalhar, ou eu poderia dizer apenas 4, devido ao horário de meu país.

Então, é isso, pessoal. Essas são minhas reflexões sobre minha recente série de derrotas no Splinterlands. Talvez eu esteja jogando errado, talvez eu precise de cartas melhores, ou talvez seja apenas uma fase ruim. De qualquer forma, estou determinado a continuar melhorando e, e como mencionei no post anterior, os torneios estão sendo mais recompensadores para mim.
