I just started this project of burning splinterland cards based on posting payouts - If interested in reading the original posting it's located right down below:

I'm currently burning extra cards I have laying around until the real fun comes when post payouts start happening. Obviously, we are in the beginning stages of this and so expectations right now are quite low, but I have faith that in the near future we will be burning some good looking cards with actual value beyond 1 cent!
The time will come, and when it does, we will be having some serious fun with this... while at the same time, helping retain value through decreasing the circulation.
A win-win situation for splinterland players and investors.
