First Splinterlands Season End Rewards - Pretty Nice!!!

First let me say I am a relatively new player on #Splinterlands. Been playing for about 3 weeks. Was never into playing any of the trading card games like Magic The Gathering, Pokemon, etc. Thats being said, I may have a slight addiction to playing Splinterlands! Can't seem to get enough.

Not being flush with cash, I did not have much money to throw into playing this game. Fortunately a friend of mine delegated some cards to me so I could get started. I bought a few more that were real cheap and rented a couple to check out that system.

I put together a nice streak of wins over the last week and was able to get my rating over 1000. (Those 5 win streaks really help that number go up quickly). This qualified me for the Silver III level BUT I did not have the collection power needed to unlock that level. 😭

With the season about to end, I dove into the idea of renting CP. This was super foreign to me (and unfortunately my friend was unavailable to help me out). Headed to the friendly Splinterlands Discords. Got some advice that seemed reasonable and easy. BUT as I went on Peak Monsters to try and rent power, it seemed to not be working. 😭

There was a full shutdown of the whole game and Peak Monsters. The good old Maintenance Screen was up. 😢😢
As it was 2 am in NYC where I am, I decided to call it a night and accept my Bronze fate. 💔

BUT Splinterlands got the better of me and I woke up at 7am thinking that there was still another hour until season end. let me go try again and see what I can do.

I got back into CP rental area. Through in a bid and like magic, 3 minutes later, I had my CP, with 30 minutes to spare. (It was with a level 10 monster who I can not use but hey I got my POWER).

I had to stop playing so as to not drop below 1000 rating and lose my Silver status.

Well here is my rewards after opening my chests:

Not too bad. A rare card is always nice. But those 900 DECs help. Gets me in the mood to buy some more cheap cards. 😆

let's see what next season brings. Here is hoping for an even higher level.
