Yeah I think this is not applicable to CL, they didnt outline it before hand so Id say now its too late for CL.

It isn’t easy to build a healthy play 2 earn economy where everyone can benefit, but they are getting closer
exactly! Not everyone sees it that way, the funny thing is reading new players complain that this wont help them... yes it will.
True, it will speed up the start of the next set and then the few cards people bought will increase in value as the packs cannot be bought in the splinterlands shop anymore.
With untamed I got most epic cards, level 2-3 summoners. With chaos I have been able to slowly swap those for chaos legendaries and level 4-5 chaos summoners.
I hope when rebellion comes out I will be able to advance into Diamond league or at least get a powerful gold league deck
The recent downturn in card prices and SPS price came about because they released large numbers of Chaos Legion packs early rather a slower release throughout the year.
Reducing the total packs created, and having a burn date, creates a scarcity within the market.
4 months without a new expansion set allows to people calm down a little, focus on playing the game (and generally having fun), saving money and vouchers for whatever comes next.
In the last days of Untamed, a huge number of packs sold out and I think we could see the same thing possibly with Chaos Legion or Rebellion.
Makes you wonder what'll happen to airdrop cards that never achieved their sales target.
