Starting up - Fat to Fabulous plan

Here goes nothing.

A long awaited startup after a way too long break.

I used to do a lot of training - Back in the days i played football and handball on a fairly high level, but after stopping that and working in an office daily, surprisingly enough the weight started to get up, and at a point in 2019 I started road cycling - An awesome way to train and enjoy the outdoors.

Soon things escalated and as everyone that knows me I, if I get interested in things, I don't do anything half-assed. So before long I started up virtual cycling on Bkool and Zwift platforms, purchased a turbo trainer, and now have invested in a treadmill as well as a rowing machine here at home, so there is no excuse in lack of equipment at least.

With startup late in 2018 I got some km on the bike and have mostly being increasing the distance each year until last year.
2018 - 1137 Km - 5362 Alt m
2019 - 4326 Km - 28869 Alt m
2020 - 6171 Km - 49551 Alt m
2021 - 3705 Km - 29816 Alt m

I have done a few longer rides, Vätternrundan in Sweden 2019 was my first really long ride just a bit over 300 Km.

Due to Corona Virus this was cancelled the following year so I made my own ride of 300+ Km on the same day it should have been done.

Last year i had plans of riding around Iceland on my bike 1336 Km

Unfortunately on day 3 after total 475 km I had to stop due to injury, but the first 3 days were great, and riding a bike in Iceland is really something, the contrasts in the nature there just awesome

So - after that due to Injury, death in the family and just plain lazyness i suppose - I have stopped the training and just focused on eating it seems, at least when looking on my scale here at home.

Now I am getting back in the habit and posting a series of the training, weight and how things progress. I am getting myself ready for everything starting up on Monday 7th March - Focus to begin with will be 30+ minutes exercise each day for a 30 day period. It will be low pace just to get the body used to training again, and I will be varying between Cycling, walks, Row machine and eventually some running.

On Monday I will post the first update with starting point weight and will be doing weight checks every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

I will be doing a through change in my diet as well as I will be doing a 20/4 fasting for the first 30 days, only intake before dinner will be water and black coffee.

Those first 30 days should get me into the habit of training again and should have shed some weight after the first month.

Looking forward to next update - On Monday there will be an update with first training session, and the Dreaded starting weight.

Until then, take care and have a great weekend :)

Those locations for riding look absolutely spectacular. I wish we had some scenery like that here!
