Magic The Gathering BrewNight #6! Untested non-sence!

Howdy! It's the MTG brewmaster back with likey a flop this week! Life can sure find a way to keep you busy, mine took gametime off the plate this week... But thats not going to to stop me from coming at yall with my next brew! Only difference, this brew has as few as 10 games played under the belt. For me, Brewing and Testing tends to happen hand in hand. This is when im still figuring out what works, whats needed, whats deadweight or 'winmore', how many of a card to run, and even what colors to fall into.

With that being said, I'll be naming this BrewNight's deck Untested Nonsence! (Calix Control?)

We are looking to leverage our flyers in this deck, and have them become evasive value trains. We plan to chip our OP to death and refuse them the right to play Magic. Mono blue players, keep it in your drawers...

We are sitting on lantern bearer as our 1 drop for a few reasons. Spirits are more then fine to mix with enchantments, just ask Katilda. Spirits + enchants also opens up a very good 1 mana counterspell to our deck, geistlight snare. We also want a small evasive body to slap our auras on, the fav being combat research for lantern bearer. He can also be cast as an aura from the graveyard, making Calix triggers abit more consistent. In classic mono blue style we aim to get this guy drawing cards, then start countering. Faerie Vandal is another great flyer for combat reaserch, getting bigger with the draws. Its not a spirit, but due to it having flash it warrents a test.

What else can we do though, because that all sounds abit too boring for this old Brewmaster.. Well, we splashed enchatments baby! They find a home in our control-style deck by letting us remove just about anything we couldn't counter. This removal + a handful of spirits in the deck also makes Katilda a valid option. She won't get massive, but even a 3/3 flying lifelink that hits spirit for geistlight is decent. Suck it once again, mono red.

The real icing on the cake, and how we tied this deck up with a nice little bow, is slotting in Calix. He gives our little flyers a buff on entering, can squeek extra +1/+1 value out of our removal, and best case he will be spitting out cloned removal when we connect. We have evasive, aura-infused combat built into our gameplan from the start. Its only natual we try to leverage it to the max!

Best of luck if you give the deck a go! It's untested, and seems like it could be quite inconsistent. I've been tossing this brew idea around since Calix came out and thought I'd share where im at with it :D

If you have any ideas for this deck please let me know! I'm sharing mid-brew for once and would love some input! <3
